questions on wheels/clearance w/ brembo's

alright here's the deal, i recently became a proud owner of some wheels that im pretty sure will not clear the brembo's, i know what your gonna say, put em on see if it will work.. well im in iraq right now, buying all my mods online and sending them to the house. so back to the subject. i need to know the minimum offset clearance for the stock brembo's. the wheels i have are 12mm front and 30mm in the back. i really just need to know what spacers to buy to make them work. i assume the 30mm in the back will be fine. just the front im concerned with. thanks in advance!

Offset is only a small factory in determining if they'll clear the Brembos. The larger factor is the overall shape and design of the spokes. What wheels did you buy? Maybe someone on the forum has experience with the same wheels.

I would say a 15MM spacer should be fine.

You may have a problem getting those wheels to fit at all, becuase using a spacer in the front to clear the brakes will lower your offset even more from the +12mm which is already extremely aggressive. I don't know of anyone running anything beyond +17 in the front. If you use a spacer and your offset goes into the single digits the wheel will stick out beyond the fender and not only look ghetto, but rub all the time, which likely can't be fixed with rolling

No way you are going to fit a -3 offset in the front without a widebody kit

I am running +20 with 5mm spacer and clears it

but I know other wheels that are +20 that fit so it is the wheel design also

maybe im a little confused? im thinking the idea of a spacer is to push the wheel off the hub. giving it a wider stance, and therefore pushing the spokes away from the caliper...no? the wheels i have are motegi touge's, 18 x 9 and 18 x 10, ive seen them on the aem 350z and a few g35's, and one of the G's had brembo's. i dont know but i guess i still need an answer. thanks everybody.
