since they didn't have any in dealer,i ordered mine from the factory with only what i want.... without what the options look like, without test drove one
but man, everything just turn out perfect.
the hard part was the wait... from the day i put down $1000 for deposit to the day the car here was about 9 weeks...during the wait, there're countless hours on the web, many many phone call the dealer.... when the sale man finally called me and said "your car is here" man that was like "come here to see your first born son" lol.... needless to say,i took off the rest of the day from work

I remember bringing my I35 in for its 30,000 mile service in 03. While I was there, My salesman asked me if I had seen the new G35 Coupe......At first I thought he meant the sedan, and I told him I had one as a loaner while my car was being serviced. He laughed and said "NO....I mean the NEW G COUPE"

He took me over to show me the car, and as I was checking it out, he came out and threw me the keys....."he said I be waiting for your deposit when you come back". Well, I didn't buy it that day. But for weeks and weeks I thought about how friggin excited I got about this car.....I decided I wanted to get into another car, and since my I35 was paid for, I looked at the BMW 3 series coupe......I placed an order, only to find out they were on strike, and it would take close to 3months...

I went back to Infiniti, told them what I wanted, but there were no more 03's with the options I was looking for. I placed my order in July, and waited the 90 days to receive my 04' Coupe on Halloween 2003.......

My god, did I get soo many compliments about the car, It was like I bought a Ferrari or something......the rest is history...

And Steve, I still have my sales brochure for the 03, the 04 and probably the 05.

Thanks to people like Steve afropuff redwillow WRAH, Geobau Msedanman, Xman Randys G Skeleton Cru, SFLG35 and 100's others that made this place the best source of information and entertainment.... its been some ride.....

I have that same landscape style brochure with the concept. Got it in the mail when they announced it and I too drooled over it until I got my coupe. I wish they'd kept the cool little 'SPORT' emblems. They're neat looking, nice touch. I can't find any other Nissan vehicle that had them. Anyone know?

I definitely remember seeing it at the NY autoshow and sitting in it. When I sat in it my cousin's told me "damn this is you". I figured there was no way I was getting this car anytime soon...03' May I was in the dealership totally disregarding anything about pricing but just wanting to secure one. Picked it up August 2003. Everyday after I put the deposit down...I just kept staring at the brochure...checkin g35driver and other sites to see pics of this car..Wow that definitely was a long time ago, ( I'm on my 2nd one)

I wish I had the same feeling with the 08. I like the car but I don't have that thrill inside. Hopefully the test drive will make up for that.

Yes, Nissan cheaped out at the last minute (cost cutting move) and deleted the aluminum pedals. Also, the very first run of G Coupe production apparently had red lights in the doors instead of the red reflectors (and there was a pic in Motor Trend or one of those mags at the time showing it lit up).
