Another reason to be glad you got a G35...

Pretty interesting article, would be interested to see what the forums thinks about this...

Infiniti G35 rated #2 safest car as far as lowest rates of driver death. Guess which was rated the #2 LEAST safe vehicle...

the Nissan 350z!!??

I'm assuming the article is crash-testing G sedans? Thoughts?

The stats cover all models, sedans and coupes.

This was posted about a month ago on another forum. You also have to consider the average 350Z and G35 drivers. The 350Z crowd tends to be the younger, crazier crowd, no offense to anyone.

I agree, plus maybe there's more 350z out in the streets than G35. Same thing goes to the cars in the highest list. Acura rsx, they're everywhere.

Nevertheless, It still makes you proud to be a G35 owner though. :D

oh good point, I wonder if they take into account how many of each model car is on the road. You'd think where it's a comparrison they'd make it a ratio rather than a just raw number for number comparrison.

PS: Sorry if this was/is a repost - first time I've seen it.

That should be the way to correctly make a comparison, equal amount of cars, and same environment. i wouldn't recommend making your own comparison and with your own test subjects though. :D

It is a calculation, not raw data.

From the site, "Each model's average death rate per million registered vehicle years represents the reported number of driver deaths divided by the model's number of registered years. For example, two vehicles each registered for 12 months would equal two vehicle years."
