Squeeking/creaking coming from driver's seat

Whenever I hit a bump I'm getting a squeek/creak from around the middle of the driver's seat. I've tried rocking the frame back and forth, and no squeek. It only comes from a bump on the road, and the it originates almost right under my seat. Is this a common problem, or any ideas on how to fix?

yup, there's a TSB for it, take the car to the dealer and they should fix it for free.

I have the same issue and it is very common. I took my car to the dealer and they ordered new seat rails for me. That was 2+ weeks ago and the damn dealer hasn't called me back and I gotta call THEM first thing Monday morning

This may be your TSB fix . . . Good luck!

Thanks - hmmmmm, that looks a bit too complicated for me to fix. Yet I don't trust the stealership to do it :(

Would this item be covered under warranty still for a 2003 coupe?

^^^ Good question . . . Depending on the mileage and the original purchase date the car, the warranty may be expired for this sort of work. However, since it's a known issue and a TSB was available . . . I would approach the situation in a humble manor with the dealership.

Give it a shot. You have nothing to lose. Good luck! ;)

In short, I had them do this TSB, had them replaced the entire seat bottom (a different TSB for the rip in the seat), and it is still there. It's not going away, no matter what they do. Just and FYI.

the TSB does not work! i've had them replace the seat rails TWICE, and the creak does not go away. after my warranty expired, i attempted to fix it myself...

- greased/lubed pretty much everything... no luck
- took the seat out, tightened EVERY bolt, put it back... no luck
- added more seat foam to the butt rest and back rest... no luck
- tried THIS "fix"... worked for a week then started creaking again. doesn't work when i do it a second time.
- cursed and yelled at the seat, while sporadically punching it... didnt work but made me feel good.

it's been driving me nuts for a year... has ANYONE found a definitive fix for it???
