MOMO shiftknob won't fit..
Just purchased the MOMO Automatico shiftknob for a 2004 AT coupe. Just realized that it doesn't fit. Momo shiftknob does not go down enough on the stick for me to screw the screws. Anyone experience this? Should I fabricate a little and cut some of the stick off? Sorry no pics.

Re: MOMO shiftknob won't fit..
You need to pull off the white piece and put it directly on the shift knob unless something has changed from the 2003s. Check my photo on the rides section.

Re: MOMO shiftknob won't fit..
What he said, the white plastic extender pulls right out. You'll want it out regardless, since it'll look like you're driving a UPS truck with the knob sticking up that high.
By the way, if your MOMO knob is anything like mine, here's a tip: do NOT install the knob with the little rubber caps inserted inside the knob. It will get jammed inside there and the button will get stuck in a partially depressed condition so that the car never locks into Park anymore. You probably won't be able to resist trying anyway, but I'm telling you, don't do it, it's a huge pain to pull the thing out of there once you put it in. -Jack Obsidian '03 G35 Sports Coupe (for sale) |
