worst infiniti dealer ever: field's infiniti

i bought my car about 1 1/2 months ago and am very displeased with my experience (not the car). here's all the things my salesman (and that stupid dealer) tried to do:

1. he tried to keep one of the two keychains that comes with the car. he put one in his desk drawer. i was nice enough to ask him for another one instead of asking him why he took mine.

2. then he tried to lower my trade in by 110. saying it the winter floormats cost that much. then i called several infiniti dealers and they all told the all weather floormats cost only 75 bucks. i called his manager and he agreed to give me free ones.

3. then this piece of shiet gave me his old carpet floormats (he has a g35 sedan), when he gave me my car, he put the rubber mats over the carpet ones to hide it.

4. then he didn't even refund my deposit which wasn't used towards the purchase of the car. i had to call several times and then speak to the finance manager to get it finally in 3 weeks.

5. the worst thing they did is, i purchased this paint and interior protection package for 600. i dont even know if they did the treatment or not. these people included the price of this package in the car purchase price so its like i paid over the msrp for my car. and i dont even know if they really did the treatment or just applied some cheap aftermarket treatment. and because of this i called the treatment company to check my warranty registration. they didn't even have my registration!!! so the guy at the treatment company said he'll speak to my dealer. and i dont even know whats going on, because i think this guy is friends with the infiniti people.

they made my first car purchase experience really really unpleasant. i might have to write a letter to the owner and state my complaints. but its ok, because when i get going i wont even have to worry about these sorry people, who i just cannot understand. i mean my salesperson tried to keep my keychain.

Sorry to hear that man, that really sucks.
Did you try contacting Infiniti Consumer Affairs?
If I were you, I would make sure that scumbag won't work as a salesman anymore.

Which Field's Delaership? I bought my car from Field's in Libertyville and had a great experience.

Why the heck would you agree to a paint protection package? It sounds as if they took advantage of someone who didnt negotiate at all.

Beaverton Infiniti charges $1600 for the protection package, but don't give you a choice as all their cars have it.

The choice is to go somewhere else. Why would you buy a car from them?

Just say No to any "back-end" sales they try to "add-on" to your purchase Unless you actually want it. And watch out for them sneaky tactics (like them keeping your deposit, switching your floormats, keeping your keychain, etc) because by nature, Most car sales people are sneaky. If you don't want to deal with the pressure, hire a 3rd party to purchase your vehicle for you (there are a bunch of good, reputable companies that do this. They can usually get the car you want for you for close to and sometimes even less than Invoice price). Just my 2cents.

this was my first car, first purchase so i didn't have any experience. i totally got ripped off many things. i was just too impatient. now i learned my lesson. if you didn't buy ur g35 yet, dont make the same mistakes.

Infinity on Stevens Creek in San Jose Ca pulled the same idiotic sales gimmick -- asking $1200 for paint and leather protection. I laughed in the salesman's face and walked out the door. The sales manager tried to smooth things over, but I told him the sales ploy was insulting and idiotic.

When faced with that kind of crap, just walk out and buy the car at another dealership. The dealorship on Stevens Creek, San Jose should be avoided
