Finally....I'm official
 

After a few months on the boards posting on minor things and off topics I'm finally a Coupe owner!! Man the 3 month wait was miserable and at points my brain doubted I'd really bought a sports car. My audi being sold 2 weeks ago didn't ease my senses, although I got more than I asked for so I can't complain to much. After a somewhat disatisfied experience with the whole purchase process (I'll post that later) it came Thursday night when I was in San Jose. My 7 months along wife had to sign which made me paranoid since she couldn't wash and inspect the car...especially at night. Friday I came back and my wife and 2 kids came to pick me up from the airport in my DG + Willow beauty. Oh my...I felt goosebumps going through me waiting to see it pull up to the airport. After seeing only pictures for so long and an occasional spying of a coupe here in there (especially in San Jose) it just looked stunning actually moving, plus it was all mine, not some other lucky nuts!

All I have to say its more than I expected in a sports coupe. Its handling, sleek, yet muscular body and engine combined with the 4 seater semi-luxo interior, fit my needs to a T. Soon to have 3 kids, the back seats were a necessity so I could at least do part time duty with the kids. The power is very smooth. Keeping it under 4k is practically impossible....I'm under the violations code a dozen times, but I'm trying to be patient to break her in within reason.

My wife had the first virgin car comments from on older gentleman at a Target....and I hadn't even yet seen the car...bwaaaaa!!! 8^) She has taken it out a few times already...how to say NO to an expectant mother is NOT easy!! But she is quickly "growing" into the car....she wasn't too keen on a 4 seater when our family was soon to grow to 5 seats, but she has a major lead foot so is quickly learning to appreciate it and she hasn't even gone over 4k yet! Whew...escaped the marital issue about the car!!

I can't wait to take it to work on Monday. I've been driving for any reason at this point and have gotten "lost" taking backroads here in NC a few times with my son. He thinks he's getting the car in 8 years since that was how old my Audi was....NOT!!

Anyway....sorry for being long-winded. I'm entering into the next stage of life of a G-Coupe....getting over the first weekend and into the first work week!!

Congrats on your recent new arrival, and on the next one in 2 months.

MAN!!! you know what? i never never get tired of reading this kind of stories, congrats on the new baby(s)!!!...know what you mean about taking the backroads, one of the reason that i am getting an NVAI. ENJOY it.

Me neither. I am still awaiting my G and I am sure from the goosebumps I got by reading your story, I'll be sure and go to the bathroom before heading over to the dealership to pick mine up :)
