Can't decide on a repair shop! Help?
This is the first time I've ever had to have repairs done on a car. I was sitting at a stop light, and someone in a new BMW wasn't paying attention and just plowed right into the back of me, which in turn made me bump the car in front of me. My trunk isn't shoved into my back seat or anything, but the damage is still pretty bad (rear panels are rippled, bumper is split, exhaust bent, etc).
He admitted full fault, so my deductible is being waived and his insurance is covering 100% of the repairs. Having said that, I have my choices narrowed down to two shops. 1 - Marco's Auto Body (http://marcosautobody.com) My boss used them when her BMW door got smacked into. She said it's the only repair center the BMW dealership in LA suggests. Her worry was color-matching (metallic blue) and she said it was flawless. Yelp has 6 good reviews, roughly 4.5 out of 5 stars. 2 - Matrix Auto Collision (http://www.matrixbodyshop.com) I don't know anyone who has used this service, but their facilities look amazing! They also have 4.5 out of 5 stars on Yelp, with good reviews. As I said, I've never done this before so I'm so nervous! The car is a lease, so I'm giving it back in a year anyway, but I still want quality work, especially because I don't have to pay for it. Any suggestions on what to look out for, what to ask, etc would be excellent! Thanks in advance... |
Which ever one you choose, I'd get aftermarket parts instead of factory.. Thats if you want to mod your car.
Also, to find out what shop you want to choose, just look them up on the BBB website. |
