2005 Update
Hey guys. Just got off the phone with a couple of dealers in my area (Charlotte NC). Both said they had no additional information at this time. But after exchanging information with them, I learned our information did not quite match up. Both dealers seamed to believe the horsepower upgrade would be seen in both the automatic and manual, but only in the 'sport models'. Additionally, both dealers seamed to think the headlights (and possibly taillights) would see a slight change on all coupe models.

YES thats what my dealer said today,295hp in sport coupe
auto, no price yet, but took my order 05 g(I TOLD THEM WHAT WANTED)

dealers never know anything.. just trust what nissannews tells you.. those are official press releases.. don't trust anything the dealer says unless you can see it with your own eyes..

Man, this is what I wanted to hear ever since the 2005 news came out but unfortunately, like others said, dealers can't really be trusted. But seriously, it would make so much more sense to give the increase horspower to both MT and AT sport model.

What everyone read on nissannews.com is that actual press release by Infiniti NA. The auto coupes get no power increase and will be out in September. Both 6MT and auto sedans move up to 277 ho. There are no changes to the headlights or tail lights on the coupe. You can even see the headlights are the same in the pictures attached to the press release. The sedans do get new headlights and tail lights. In fact, the sedans get the coupe's from end. They haven't shown a picture of what the new tail lights look like. The new 6MT coupe is only estimated (not guarenteed) to be 295 hp. Infiniti/Nissan is not sure what the final figure will be because they haven't decided on the production changes for this yet. Some of this could be due to having to go through new emissions testing after the final changes are approved. It could be higher or lower than 295 hp. That is why the 05' 6MT couple won't be out until December (3 months after the autos).
Don't even try to listen to dealers. I had 2 dealers in May of last year tell me the 04' G35 would have power tilt/telescopic steering wheels and memory seats. If the try to promise something, ask for it in writing.

I say the 295 HP is guaranteed. While I was a pre order for my 350Z they stated HP was 280+ and it came in as 287. Infiniti is say 295+ so it will be a minimum of 295, nothing less. They didn't say +/-.

I like my dealer the best. I went in to inquire about trading my 03 in for an 05 and he told me that he had no information and wouldn't even look at the nissannews site. He said that until he getts the sales packet from Infiniti for the car he won't say a word about it. Hows that for honesty.
