Blue Bat's Overlays on Black Coupe
 

Well I received my overlays from Bat today (thanks bro!) and I had to install them. Problem was I got home late and was fighting the light to get the install done.

Equipment: Soap/water mix in a spray bottle, hairdryer, microfiber towel, and a small wedge tool for water extraction.

The install took about an hour. I have to say I was surprised that I kind of ripped through this. I am not that great with a heat gun, I'd rather have a ratchet in my hand. The process went well for the most part. I only made one small mistake on the drivers side large overlay. I hope the sun tightens the overlays up and hides my error. Worst case I can live with it.

I really like the look in person, this is a must for all fellow black coupe owners. I had two cars stop on my block as I was doing the install. One younger guy (early 20's in an eclipse) and one older guy (40's in a Porsche) was curious what I was doing to the tail lights. Both gave thumbs up to the look.

All opinions welcome. And I did clean up those streak marks once I was done with the install. They were just my soap drippings.

I plan to take pictures each day to watch the curing process. Will post more tomorrow night after they sit in the sun for the day. And again on Monday.

that looks really sweet....i've been waiting forever for someone to put them on a black coupe so i can really see how they'll look on mine.

if you don't mind, you could you possibly take some pics from further away and on the side? maybe in the daylight and the night, and with and without the brakes and lights on....sorry for asking of so much hehe i'd just like to see how they really look overall.

Rush, I will definately take some more pics tomorrow from some different angles and some distance shots. I'll do the brake light thing if there is someone around to hit the pedal for me :)

What % or number did you buy? Example: 6/10, 4/10, just curious bc i am also thinking of buying these for my black G.

Sorry no pics today... it was beatiful in the NYC area and I spent the day BBQ'ing and swimming. I will put some daytime pics up tomorrow.

As for the color of the overlays I went with the 6/10.

Dam rain in NYC is preventing me from getting any good pics. And now I have to give the car a good cleaning before snapping any photos! I will post some pics at the angles requested.

plz post more shots in the daytime with the lights off, looks awesome... do these overlays come precut in the shape of our tail lights? or is it like one big sheet and you cut it yourself?
