05 G35 Coupe: seats won't recline

I have a G35 coupe and both seats won't recline.
I bought it used so I don't when exactly they stopped working.
Could it be the seat switches or the motors that are bad? How can I check which of these two failed?

Not aware of what they did in '05 but to make either of my seats recline there's a lever on the right of the passengers seat that allows the seat to lay almost flat when moved forward. Can't imagine they changed that very cool feature. That allows me to transport front ends, bumpers and tires, couldn't be without it....:OHBOY:

my 05 reclines but youll have to play with the switches to get the seat to recline.

depends on how deep you are sitting they wont recline much, raise up your seat then try it the more you raise it the more it reclines on the passenger pull it fwd for more recline.

Guys,
My problem is that the back support of the seats won't move at all.
It's just stuck in one position so either the switch or the motor is busted.

same here :(

Didn't know the '05 seats had power recline. My '03 is manual.

if both don't recline, I don't know if it's the motor since the chances of both motors going out at the same time may be rare? Might be an electrical issue with the buttons?

Ran into the same issue right now with my '06. Im starting to believe its the motor. It wont recline forward but it will go back and now its stuck in the farthest back position and its a pain for passengers..... Anyone figure out a solution?

get it checked out, its usually a motor, but hopefully it's a fuse

Same problem with my 06. Passenger side will only recline if you play with it for awhile but front-2-back position works fine tho.

Guess theres 2 motors under there?

i have the same problem with the driver seat. Yes, there is two motors under the seat. It's not a fuse if the seat can move in any direction.. A guy/tech told me I have to remove the seat to by pass the switch.. if the seat then incline or recline it's the switch that has to be replaced (front seat switch 127) (passenger side 800 to 2K. The passenger side is one piece) http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/sche.../3/3845321.gif

Were you able to get this issue fixed with a new switch? Just bought a 05 with this issue.
