Yes, unless your pop charger screws up your engine and they prove it, then it's void.

What are the chances that something could go wrong and they could prove it was due to the aftermarket intake? like what kinda engine problems could u experience where they blame it on the intake? Same with a plenum and test pipes.

 

over-oiling could screw up the MAF (mass air flow)...

what if you used Nismo Cai, thats not an aftermarket part but part of nissan and infiniti?

 

Nismo CAI is a S-Tuned part. Because it is an S-Tuned part, it voids the MAF sensor warranty.

the nismo cai is actually an R-tune but you're correct that it does void the warranty on the MAF if the dealer can prove it.

 

Dealer doesn't maintain warranty just agent with a duty to inform factory of misdeeds he sees............all warranty items are examined at labs [to study failures to improve quality] and dealer can be charged back if it does meet criteria or is customer damaged. Why they seem picky.

You friend is the service manager who has pretty wide discretion, unless the dealership is pumping the warranty.

 

They would have a difficult time proving an after-market intake filter voiding the warranty. Also the z-tube since that's the same tube on the 350z right?

 

They [dealers] don't have to prove a thing, they have no legal obligation to work on anything as a private business........the warranty is between you and Infiniti..........you are confusing the Sales Agency with the Service Department which is provided to sell parts to customer and make money on installations.........Infiniti is a customer like you except they buy millions of services.

State Dealer Franchise Laws are a real convoluted nightmare!

The Federal Warranty Protection Act requires you to bring suit in Federal Court.
