So I take my car to Infiniti of Coconut Creek tonight for a routine oil change and one of the service managers comes back to tell me later, (something like...) "I have good news and bad news. Good news: the oil is changed; bad news: when backing the car out of the garage I accidentally hit another car." I went outside and saw a big caved-in dent on my right-rear bumper.
Fortunately, it looks like all the damage was contained in the bumper and he immediately offered a new loaner car (G35 sedan w/ 100 miles on the clock) until they get it fixed. They're going to over-night a new bumper and have it put on Saturday. I might have to wait 'til Monday to pick it up though. I told him he better have it ready by then, 'cuz I have an important (vacation) road trip I'm leaving for on Wednesday and there's no way in h*ll I'm showing up to my high school reunion in a damaged G! Fortunately for him, I was in a decent mood and didn't chew him out, since I've had mostly positive experiences there up to that point... I swear, I've had so much bad luck with this car since I got it; I just hope the bad luck doesn't get worse than this. *sigh*

If they don't like their job, they should friggin quit!!! My dealer also messed up my G, although not as bad. The first was that they gauged my heated seat buttons when they serviced it for the "Bulletin". I don't understand how the tech could even let it go, it was obvious he slipped with the screwdriver and put a huge gash in it. Easy fix, no biggie and they took care of it right away....almost. When I got home, I noticed the never replaced the screws for the console....yeah they were laying on the floor! Again, easy fix. The second problem was recently when they tried to tighten my axles, instead of removing the wheels and doing it the right way, they pryed the center cap out of the wheel an din the process gauged my rims and center caps. They are small little nicks, but I still think they should have been more careful! On top of that, I brought in today for ne axles, and they gave me the dirtiest loaner ever with a custom smashed in rear bumper!!! Oh yeah, no gas either! I told them I don't mind replacing the gas I use, but I am trying to get to work and I am already late b/c one of the bosses left with the loaner keys!! MORONS!!!! BTW, ATLANTIC INFINITI on Long Island SUX!!!!

Went to a dealership in Boston, they screwed up 5 times at least:
1) ding passenger door during maintenance
2) dented passenger door again during window streak TSB
3) scratched both doors when they fixed the dent
4) Scraped up my front bumper when they buffed out the scratch. Thank God I have the clear bra.
5) Screwed up my rear quarter panel and tail lights when they repainted my rear bumper. (they buffed over the fenders and lights)
The service manager is a nice guys and fixed everything for free, but I am still very dissapointed at the service I got at this dealership. Now my poor coupe has buff swirls all over the doors and rear fender.

wow that sucks.... my service manager drives a 2004 350z in a stick and i feel more than comfortable leaving him my car.... they are so nice at north houston infiniti and are really careful with the car and everything. My mom and i both drive g35's (hers is g35x) and both really like the quality of service. i do have a horror story tho to share.... about bmws
my friend took his m3 in to get his horn fixed (blown fuse). While its there he jsut says for them to align the car for him. They call him and tell him that his A/C belts are cracked and are going to need replacing soon anyways and he says for them just to do it while the car is there. They told him to pick up his car between 3-4. He went at 3:30.. the car was ready at 4:30. The guy is in the car with him and says for him to take ti for a spin to make sure the alignment was correct. My friend said that the top of his stearing wheel was pointed to 3 o clock. He takes it back in and says for them to fix it. They do. He takes it out of the lot and realizes that its still off center. Takes it back again.... they offer him a free wash for his trouble. Next thing he sees after they are done washing it is the 2 guys who just washed his car hop in and take off down the freeway. They were gone driving around for 30 minutes and used 1/4 tank of gas.... My friend flipped out ran into the manager's office and slung the door open and started yelling and screaming (which i would have done too). The guy was in his office with customers and tells them to hold on a moment while he takes care of my buddy (jon's family owns an x5 4.4 liter, an m5, and his m3... so they are big bmw customers). the guy gets it all straightened out and stuff and they end up giving him the alignment and belts for free... he didnt have to pay install or parts. It saved him a little over 400 dollars i think... his dad said he was going to drive it when he got home and if the clutch feels even a TINY bit different he was going to take it in and bitch..... i think that the clutch thing is taking it a little to far, but i woulda freaked out too if someone had taken off and started bangin the gears around.

I haven't had any problems with my service department. They're pretty cool and frendly. But last week i had them replace my steering wheel because the leather was wearing and since then my A/C doesn't work for some reason. It takes like 40 minutes to blow cold air. I'm gonna bring it back, but i can't until at least Monday, because i'm going down the shore tomarrow.

Well, I got her back today. 'Looks even better than it did before the whole mess happened. I got the service manager to type on the receipt that the damage was caused by them (not me) and he signed it. I'm so relieved to have my baby back; I was worried they might not get it done in time, but they got it done quicker than they promised!

I took mine in to get a oil change before work. Around lunch time the service dept. called and informed me it was ready. Being that it was a nice day (In Chicago very rare) I took the rest of the day off to send a little quality time with my G. After meeting up with a friend I opened the trunk and found my baby ( G ) had been violated. What will be written next is for the intent of mature readers . Parental discretion is advised. The stupid a@$ service tech or porter or whoever decided to order a large cup of coffee and in the excitement of getting a chance to change my oil left it in the trunk. Needless to say coffee was all over the place. After speaking to the service manager, he had me bring the car back for my rug and matte to be cleaned and my car detailed. All of this over a simple oil change. I hate to think what would happen if something really was wrong.

In the 8 months I've owned my coupe, I have also had a ton of bad luck. I swear I dunno what it is but I just get into alot of isht that would never happen had I been driving my 4 cylinder 98 Accord.
I got a very minor scrape on the bumper...my fault..trying to park at 4am while still half asleep...and it was such a EASY parking spot...LOL.
My front right mudguard is kinda hanging off because its been bent by a manhole cover the effin city left on the street. With the poor visibility of the G, I couldnt see it when I pulled up to park.
Two months ago my car was keyed badly by the right rear fender all the way into the taillamp.
I live near the Brooklyn Bridge waterfront area in Brooklyn. On 4th of July, my private lot was packed full of cars that dont belong there. While trying to steer clear of some *** that parked his car like a retard I scraped the bottom of the left fender on the gate. Fortunately that little bit of 3M clear sticker the car comes with took most of the hit.
Yesterday I washed my car to notice tiny white paint speckles all over it AND a 6 inch nail in the side of the left rear tire. This is the 7th nail to date.
I swear I will never ever buy a sports car again. Well err, I cant really say that.
Seriosuly though, nothing like any of these things that has happened to my G in 8 months had ever happened during my 6 years with my 98 Accord.

Every time a certain service dept. works on my car it turns into a nightmare. I have not once had something fixed right the first time. It is definitely poor management. I don't even want to begin telling the stories.
