First and foremost i'd stay STOP doing neutral drops as that is VERY bad for your tranny. I'd go with break-torquing instead, Granted they both have adverse effects on specific parts of the tranny, but brake-torqueing will start to shred your torque converter while Neutral dropping will start to shred your tranny. I personally feel and from experiences on friends cars (as i tend to stay away from auto trannies MT FTMFW BISHES! lol) brake-torqueing is less damaging, mainly because you could basically lose your trannie from a single bad timed neutral drop. also more rpms doesnt mean jack, although it's ideal but if u can't get any traction i'd take the couple fraction of seconds loss and get going instead of spinning our for 2 seconds lol

Would you pre-load your converter to 3500? I'm pretty sure your tires would start spinning before you got to that point, which our cars won't let us do due to the traction control. I've never driven an automatic G before, so I really wouldn't know. So correct me if I'm wront.

I'm very interested in this thread because i have the same problem as OP. lol 5AT and spinning at launch. what i do is i leave it in tiptronic, and slam on the gas pedal once it's time to go, slip light would go on for at least two seconds then the car would start to jet off. =[ i feel like i need to ease in on the gas and gradually go in deeper. any opinion would be highly appreciated
