can't stand the HEAT!
The problem started when I first got the car (brand spanking new), I noticed that whenever I drive on a highway going around 70-80 mph the cockpit starts heating up like a mother (with windows up AC off). The problem went away for a while and it has started to reoccur. Is this normal for the 6MT G? At first I thought it was the new engine breaking in and then I thought it was the clutch (shifting at high rpms). Just want to make sure that I might not be the only one...
But maybe this happens to all V6+ engines? Wouldn't know, used to drive an RSX G35 coupe 6MT Brilliant Silver on Black |

Re: can't stand the HEAT!
What is the set temperature on your climate control? I've noticed that eventhough the climate control is off, a slight breeze will flow through the air ducts if it is left open with a temperature similar to its last setting before it was turned off. Try setting your climate control to 60 degrees, turn it off, and see if your problem continues.

I noticed that whenever I drive on a highway going around 70-80 mph the cockpit starts heating up like a mother (with windows up AC off). <hr></blockquote> Well I have 2 "apparently not so obvious" solutions. 1. Turn on your AC 2. Roll down your windows <font color=blue>The above statements are only my take on the issue. Re: can't stand the HEAT!
Here is a not so obvious solution for Infiniti, design the air intake so it doesn't heat up. There is no reason the air should be coming in at 90 when it's 70 outside.

I agree with DED

Re: can't stand the HEAT!
You may want to try this, I'm not sure if it will help solve your problem, but it seems like it should help.

Re: can't stand the HEAT!
thanx for the responses guys
lol @ Blitz...too bad it was off or a simple push of a button would've solved my issue. As for the weather outside; usually I turn the AC on during the day when its summer and leave the windows open at night. But during the winter time I leave all my windows up and AC off (illinios gets really cold). It happens mostly during the winter (at least thats when its most noticeable). I suspect the heat is coming from the gearbox and the compartment right below it where the cup holders are. Since whenever the heat starts flowing in I've tried to sense where it is with my hand and its usually the gearbox and the cupholder that shows the most significant change of temperature... Again thanks alot guys.. G35 coupe 6MT Brilliant Silver on Black |
Re: can't stand the HEAT!
there is a fix for that...have to use some silicon in the brake area i think to cover up some holes
