G35 coupe 5at 0-60 in 6.9 seconds?!?!
Hey does anyone know what is the stated 0-60 and 1/4 mile time for the g35 coupe 5at. Ive heard of many g35 performance numbers, but they are usually for the 6mt. I want to know what are the times for the automatic.
http://www.autosite.com/new/grabbag/perform/3011.asp This website has the 0-60 time for the g35 coupe auto ranging from 5.9 seconds to 6.9 seconds. I dont think 6.9 seconds is correct that seems too slow. And the fact that both numbers are actually a whole second apart means i cant really trust this website because a whole second is a big *&$@#! difference. So does anyone know for sure what the 0-60 time and quarter mile times are?? |

At what ambient temperature and barometric pressure [altitude] and humidity? From LA to Denver is a 20% power decrease at the same temp.
What tires and what road coefficient of friction. 1.0 seconds is not a wide variation considering all possible location/temp cases! |
Re: G35 coupe 5at 0-60 in 6.9 seconds?!?!
lets just say, a 5at can probably run the 1/4 mile in low 14s, but i've seen it as high as mid 15s....

Re: G35 coupe 5at 0-60 in 6.9 seconds?!?!
Edmunds tested the G35 coupe auto & got 6.2 s & 14.66 s. That seems accurate, since most magazine 1/4 mile times for the G35c manual are around 14.4 s.
Actually, the 5.9 s is from MotorTrend & the 6.9 s is from AutoWeek so it's not like they just pulled those numbers from nowhere. |
Re: G35 coupe 5at 0-60 in 6.9 seconds?!?!
Infiniti should just provide "official" 0-60 times. I believe the average 0-60 time for the 5AT is low 6-seconds and the average 0-60 time for 6MT is mid-to-high 5's (lowest I've seen is 5.5 seconds from C&D).

Hot weather = hot roads = better traction.
Cold weather = cold air = better combustion. You just can't win. ____________ MrElussive 03 G35C 6MT |

Yea man i was just at the track two days ago and rad mid 15's. my lowest was like 15.5 something. I dunno how other 5AT's are getting 14's. Let me know how!!!!!!! Perhaps I am doing something wrong. Track conditions were horrible tho. mid 90 degress and very humid. Plus where I am, the altitude is like 2k ft. So i dunnooooooo

Re: G35 coupe 5at 0-60 in 6.9 seconds?!?!
I'd rather run in cold weather than hot weather anyday. You can win. There is a reason why everyone runs faster times in colder weather. An 5AT G35 is not gonna have traction problems anyway..

Its either you or the altitude because its just as hot in texas...
