I think I'm ****ed

My powertrain warranty just expired 3 months ago and my engine is knocking. Yesterday I checked the oil and saw it was low did a oil change and thought everything would go back to normal. NOPE, last night driving on the freeway and doing about 100 car died, nice.

One thing about this G is that looking back now it's safe to say I got a lemon because it has just had numerous issues. The main issue which others just told me this is how this car is it just eats oil. every 3000 miles I change the oil and nothing is it really. Now I barly drive the car and it somehow still burns oil like crazy.

I think I'm going to have to sue infiniti because numerous times I complained about this problem they told me there was nothing wrong.

I hope you have receipts for your oil changes if you plan on suing.

Damn hope they don't try to screw you over since the warranty expired. Good luck to you

I agree with the fact that the G35 have many issues and there is little done to fix these problems from Infiniti. Maybe Infiniti has to become the next Toyota inorder to get there sh*t straight, since buying the car I have been kicking myself in the A** for buying a car based on looks.
I also thought these cars had good quality but I was wrong, I should have just kept my BMW cuz I never had any problems with that car.

I really hope you can get this taken care of!

Unless you have something in writing that you complained about oil usage and they're response, you're probably screwed. Was it ever written on a service document, if so did you save a copy? Good Luck with this issue....

There are way too many of us that haven't had a major problem for you to generalize that all Gs are crap. I understand your frustration and hope all ends well for you.

Good luck going back to a Beemer. :p

I just learned to do everything on the G myself, the dealership are such rip offs, they charged me $400 to tell me I needed new sparkplugs when that even wasnt the reason i had it checked out.... NEVER AGAIN

Good luck man, oil burning problems on the rev-ups are ridiculous. If you don't have documentation regarding your claims though you are probably screwed. You can find an engine for 2-3 grand though, maybe cheaper if you aren't as picky about the condition. That may be a better route, or just trade the car in altogether at Carmax or something. After my G35 I'd never buy another Nissan/Infiniti again since they obviously don't stand behind their product.
