Is the iPod placed in the center console when connected like the G37?

yes its mounted in the center console. it works great but a heads up on anyone installing. biggest issue is when drilling the hole in the console. you must drill near the bottom or top of the rear wall in the tray. directly in the center is a steel brace for the
console lid. Second thing is I could not pull out the rear seat. it was supposed to be easy. the rear console popped up fine. so I got everything mounted successfully. there is no way to thread the cable under the carpet as is, so it is currently showing.
If anyone know how to pull the back seat out. I could use some help.
