I'm proud of myself!
I had a great weekend. I've been needing to do some routine maintenance to my G but i've been reluctant to do it thinking it would be a little to difficult for me to do it all. I changed the plugs, cleaned the TB, mass air meter, and air filter and it was all pretty easy. I made sure I had all the tools to do it all and then just took my time doing it. The main thing I was nervous about was the TB cleaning after hearing about a lot of people having to do relearning procedures, etc. I unpluged my negative battery terminal before I took the TB off and when I put everything back together it idled high for a few minutes before settling down to a smooth 650rpms. Now my car is back to running perfect. I just wanted to tell others who might be reluctant to do some of these same things like I was that its not hard to do at all. Plus you save money and you get a real sense of pride doing it all yourself.

Cool, you should be proud of yourself. Any time you complete a project and it all turns out well a little voice inside should say, "Yes....Good Job!" That way you'll have the self confidence to tackle the next one.

reseting is not that difficult too.

Good for you! I spent all Friday doing maintenance on my STi. Took my time to do everything right and saved myself some money too.

I've decided to be more hands on with this car then my previous. There are a lot of things I can do, that I shouldn't be gouged by the dealership for. ;)

Great job OP. I have friends that think I'm crazy to do as much to my car myself as I do. I guess they don't totally get that I enjoy it and it really gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Congrats OP. I already owe a lot to this forum for all the DIY posts that make installs and regular maintenance such a breeze. I'm certainly no mechanic, so every DIY adventure is filled with anxious moments, but so far everything has turned out alright, and I agree, there's a huge sense of accomplishment afterward.

Good job. Keep it up.

Well done, OP.
