Dashboard lights won't work while headlights on??

I have an '05 G35 coupe. My dashboard lights will not work while my headlights are on? It's not the dimmer, I already checked that. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

fuse for dashboard ?

The clock and temperature illuminate when the headlights are off but when I turn on the headlights all the dash lights stop illuminating. So I don't thinks it's a fuse. Not even sure if there is a dashboard light fuse.

My first thought was dimmer but since you check and its not that Im not sure there is anything left. There is a fuse for dash lights but i dont think that would be it. Does the dimmer function at all when lights are off? Maybe it went bad. Also what mods do you have, aftermarket head unit, etc?

Well I lost my dash lights one day trying to put some LEDs and it actually was the side markers fuse that includes license plate and dash lights. This fuse is located on a fuse box right behind the battery and the box cover will tell you which one is what.
