Doors Won't Lock on My '03 Coupe
 

When I use the key fob to lock the doors the horn honks, lights flash like they should. The doors make a clicking sound but neither of them actually lock. Same thing happens from the inside: If you hit the lock button on the door, you hear a click sound but nothing happens. So I have to lock the doors manually from the inside and put my key in the driver door to unlock the car when getting in it.

I'm a noob, just got my G a couple days ago, and had a Jeep Wrangler before this so I'm used to manual everything so I don't know much about this issue.. haha but does anyone know what is causing this problem?

Door lock actuators are bad. Search for it.

Yep it's the actuators and they aren't cheap.

congrats on the car, i'd bring it in for inspection to make sure any of the other small things aren't wrong on this car since it's new. issues pop up all the time, and even the smallest thing can be a big problem

Off chance.. I've had this happen before when my last passenger shut the door, but not hard enough for the window to slide all the way up. If you try to lock the doors, they lock and then immediately unlock. It's worth a quick try, just shut both doors snugly.
