Never thought I'd say it but...

I'm considering a new Audi S4 next spring. Think it would be a good upgrade if I were to sell the G??

As much as the thing is a rocket, I'm not sure you'll find it as engaging to drive as the G. I don't know what I'd buy to replace the G with that money. I think I need to win the lottery. DB9 and Vanquish keep popping into my head, but I know they cost a little more than the Audi ;o)

Cheers,

Why wouldnt the S4 be more engaging to drive than the G. I drove the S4 and I can say its way more fun to drive than the G.

Man this is either very coincidental, weird or a sign LOL!! I test drove an S4 today at the Audi dealership before the winter, due to me doing very well in the stock market and my moms old my stock, made some good money! Also sorry to say, my grandmother passed away, and left me money which i dont even want to touch :( But anyway the S4 blew me away, i was always in love with it and i pretty much have the opportunity to get that or an M3, but for the winter the M3 just isnt practical :/ The salesman owns an M3, hes selling it and it was his i drove, very fast car but the S4 felt more powerfull, M3 still is quicker i dont know how, mostly weight i guess! Im going back tomorrow to work some #'s and to take another drive, its a sick car =)

I have test driven a S4 two times in the last week. They are great cars. Not much in the looks dept but handling, torque and power are very good. The recaro seats hold you in place nicely too. One thought tho, a new S4 is in the $50 - $52 range while a very low mileage 04 can be had for $41-$42. I think its a fine replacement for the G and with the all wheel drive, increased hp and tq, a better choice in my opinion. But, its mo money.

Good luck

Al

My wife has the new S4. She loves it. If your looking for a four door that can haul total ***, this is the perfect car. Before this one, she had the S4 twin turbo, which even that was a blast to drive. We were just dating when she had the turbo S4, and man was I jealous inside as I drove my 3000GT SL.

Go ahead and get it. One of my co-workers has one, an '04 and he's had a couple of problems with the tranny and it's been in the shop for those problems for a couple of weeks at a time, but I'm sure the '05s will be even better mechanically. I would've gotten one, but I'm extremely happy with the G and don't plan on getting anything else until the GTR shows up. I have always loved the S4's though and dreamed of having one when the first turbo S4s came out. M3's are great too. Don't you just love having decisions like this to make? I remember when it was what can I afford (under $15,000.00), and now it's just what do I want.
