Updated 2004 Owner's Manual
 

The 2004 owner's manual available at Nissan Tech Info has been updated. I imagine this happened a while back, but I first noticed it in the Black Box thread

The updated file is different than the hard copy manual that came with my car, and the soft copy that I downloaded in January.

When comparing the files, Adobe finds quite a few differences, but so far most of them are minor. The one non-minor change I have noticed is the "Event Data Recorders" section.

Yes, it's there, but everything in it applies to the 5AT only. I guess 6MTs will have a different manual, unlike the 03s and 04s that used the same manual for the automatic and manual.

Do you mean the 2005 manual or were there actually changes to the 2004?

The 2005 Manual has been updated to cover the 6MT. The date of the original manual is 8/25/04 and the updated Owner's Manual is dated 11/11/04. I should have caught this sooner, but the posting date of the original posting, on the Infiniti site, still hasn't changed. It's still listed as 8/23/04.
