RB26 in a Coupe
Hi guys I have been searching like crazy and I have not found much that actually helps me that much. I was thinking after this year if this is possible to swap a RB26 in my coupe. I read a lot that says it is better if I just go TT. But I have always loved the R34 GTR and the amazing engine it has. So here are my questions and please do not start a war here because of me.
1. Is it legal to have the RB26 California as a Daily Driver?
2. How much approximatively am I looking to spend on this?
3. Any advice you might have for me before I start searching for an engine?
4. What else would I need except the engine and the mounts?
5. Anything else you guys could think of

I recommend it, but if you need to ask questions like these... you're getting into some deep ****.
Find a shop that can do it for you because if you're planning to do this yourself and think all you need is a motor and motor mounts then you're going to be spending a lot of money finding things out the hard way.
1. Is it legal to have the RB26 California as a Daily Driver?
I actually don't think so, you usually need to insure a swapped car under hot rod insurance. Your smog laws are intense so I highly doubt they even still have hot rod e-tests.
2. How much approximatively am I looking to spend on this?
I'd set aside $10,000 if you're paying a shop.
3. Any advice you might have for me before I start searching for an engine?
Majority of the RBs in North America are ****ED
4. What else would I need except the engine and the mounts?
A long list
5. Anything else you guys could think of
Start talking to shops if you're serious.
IMO this IS a better way to go about getting a TT into the G, read up on the TT builds and ask those guys how much money they have dumped into their car. The RB is a much more reliable motor over the VQ and as long as it swaps clean you'll have a reliable 5spd with an easy 300hp at the wheels.
