Ordered some 20s
Just ordered some staggered 20s. 20x9/11 +15. I'm on OEM rays at stock height but i do have some tanabe pro 5 coils sitting in the closet that im going to install. My fenders have 0 work done. I need to know how much of a drop I should do(will roll, cut fenders if necessary). Also what tire sizes should i run. Tire stretch is fine as long as it isn't super stretch. I don't want to be slammed as I have only like 3-4 inch clearance on my front bumper for my driveway :( Help me out guys and I'll post some pics later when it's all done :)

Call me crazy- but shouldn't you have done this research before you purchased the wheels?

My garage will show you the lowest setting of the pro-5's.

Im assuming you have a coupe.

Yea sorry i forgot to mention i have a coupe. Should I get the coils on then wheels or doesn't matter? Im heading towards the idea of coils first. So i can mess with the height and see where im most comfortable.

So far im deciding with 245/30 and 275/30. And atleast a 1.5 drop. There will still be some fender gap. Im going to roll my rears flat.

I'm running 245/35/20 on the front and 275/30/20s on the back mine are 8.5 front and 10.5 rear... you should go with 245/30/20 and 285/30/20

I want a little tire stretch. Are your rears stretching at all?
|
I got coils first then i got my wheels which are also 20x9/10.5 close enough to 11 and running stretched tires, advice is if you plan on dropping your car 2.5 to 3 inchs you should definitely roll your fenders. Other than that just drop it about 1.5 inch on the coils to clear the wheel gap and you should be ok without rolling fenders as long as you don't go over any big bumps straight on at high speeds. BTW i'm poking because of bbk so you might not want that double check.

If I do a 1.5 inch drop I'll still have some gap. I want to just roll my rears flat and then drop. Itll look cleaner. And I think the tire sizes are okay. It'll just be a little more stetted than what you have. And +15 should be flush. :)

sounds like a plan. if your in the area socal has a guy that lets you rent the tool for only 40 bucks. i'd recommend putting the wheels on first and then rolling. that way you know how much you need to roll and if you need to pull your fenders or not. I haven't done it yet my cars a sitting duck but i'll definitely update.

Sadly I'm in Houston. I'm gonna put the wheels on first. Then roll the rears flat then fill up the gap with the drop and I may have to do some work in the front. Gonna take some time though. I never have much free time these days. Can't wait to get these deep dish suckers in :)
