:confused: The dealer submitted an order in begining of Nov.... The dealer printed out my order status and it said production 12/04 and ETA is 3/05. :eek:
This is killing me. It will be a year since I initially put a deposit down. I was praying that it would be January but I guess not. It looks like it will be three more months until I join the club.

Has anyone else confirmed production/delivery ETA's??

yea... my 6MT is supposed to come in before the end of this month.... if all goes well and then another 7-10 days to ship it to my house. I ordered from Grubbs Infiniti in Texas and i live in chicago. i really hope it all goes as planned the wait does suck

When I purchased my '03 G, I'd put my deposit down 11/23, with a Feb. estimate. But I didn't take delivery until 4/25! (I only waited because my salesman is a personal friend.)

It probably depends on your dealer's size and allocation. A larger dealer can probably get more cars per-month through the pipeline, thus having a better chance of getting to your order sooner. But maybe not so soon if you're going through a smaller dealer.

Mine just came in today (auto, 2005, lakeshore slate, stone leather, premium). a week faster then expected. picking it up tomorrow morning. woo hoo!

you guys are killing me. I still think most sales guys are are not quite truthful - so these stories are giving me nightmares. My salesguy says my 2005 6mt will be here in less than 3 weeks.

I've heard that the first shipments into LA are arriving Dec 20th.

The reason why it has been delayed is that it is a 6mt. I hope the ETA is an over estimate.
The dealer is a large dealer.

Also, is it true that the vin number is created with the order or only after it is built?

i thought infiniti wont release the 6mt G till Jan 05, so how can you guys get ur car in late Dec?

ordered mine in Nov i think, dealer said wont be here till late jan - feb.

That is true, I get mine right before the end of the year! New Years Eve, it's gonna be me and my new found love :D

I just did a little research on the ordering. It appears that orders started in Oct for Nov build. My order was in Nov so Dec build (which matches my order sheet from infiniti). From what other people are saying I goes like this 1st month order, 2nd month build, 3rd month delivery. So.... I am praying that it will be late Jan / early Feb.

i placed my order in august, dealer originaly told me march, but when i talked to him again last week he said 2nd week of jan 05

I have heard from Metro Infiniti in Arcadia (LA county) that the 6mt will come in March of 05. Long wait.

Buddy, I don't know what to tell you. I called GRUBBS like a week ago, and spoke with a sales person there. Either he was just an idoit and don't know shiiiiet..or he has an avg brain. Dude told me that they won't get getting their 05 6MTs until FEB. I think when you guys call to get info on the 05 6MTs, talk to either the sales manager or the fleet manager. They would know more info when it comes to the real story, versus someone that maybe don't know shiet bout the G35. Doesn't it feel weird that lots of us here know more bout a car we wanna get then the sales person themselves? I be schoolin' some sales person there like it was nothing. So sad.

Lets just say that I seriously thought of getting the G back in JAN 2004, but really fell in love with the car back when it was a concept. I've been saving up some money, found out that I was gonna get the 2005 instead, found out that the 6MTs were delayed until late DEC or early JAN. Pre-ordered my car the way I wanted on OCT 7th of this year. Was told on paper that it was for JAN 2005 delivery. But the other day, I spoke with my sales manager here in North Cali, and she told me that my car might come in on DEC 24th, just in a few more weeks. This was the last word that she heard about a delivery date for all of their 05 6MTs.
