Reasons why you don't like driving people in your G

I'm sure there are a ton of reasons why you'd WANT to drive people around in your car, but I'm sure there are many other reasons why you DON'T want to carry them around in your car. List them here! I'll start.

I hate it when people try to close the door using the window AND try to slam it as hard as they can.

My dad was allowed to drive my car for approx 4.5 minutes. He parked it without engaging the parking brake. So I openly scolded him and set it. He then backed it out of the parking space without disengaging it. HOW DO YOU MISS THAT BIG HANDLE POKING YOUR ELBOW WHEN YOU SHIFT INTO REVERSE?!

Ugh.

Other than that, I don't like to have people riding with me because clutch engagement management is just embarrassing sometimes. Even with two separate mods.

Girls for one who have just put lotion on right before they get into my car. The lotion leaves a white residue on the Interior. Or when people don't wash their hands after eating, they only use napkins. They once again touch the interior and get it fuking greasy and slick. Or I hate it when people start changing the radio station, and also start going through all my presets. Raawwrrr!

Other people always drag tons of dirt into the car with their shoes, touch and play with all the buttons and knobs, shut the door without fully retracting the seat-belt so it bangs against the door when it shuts, and every single person shuts the door by the window instead of by the metal door frame.

I also don't like how all passengers use the auto-up feature of the power windows, because I never use that feature since the relay in the window electronics is prone to wearing out on our cars and causing the window to automatically retract once it's almost fully closed, leaving the window unable to fully close.

Driving one passenger around in the front passengers seat is somewhat OK, but I really don't like driving people around if they have to sit in the back seat because I'm always worried that the electric seat motor will burn out and and I won't be able to push it back or forward anymore. I also can't drive with a passenger behind my driver seat because there isn't enough room back there for me to sit comfortably in my seat and actuate the clutch while also giving them enough leg-room in the seat behind me. The back window is also perfectly situated such that anyone over the height of 5'7" will have their head rub against the window while they sit back there... leaving smudges on the window from either greasy heads or some gel or other hair product. People getting in the back seat also like to try to stand on the aluminum kick plate when they get in, and that makes tons of scratches on it.

I also hate having to seem like a little PITA for not allowing people to eat their meal in the car if we get takeout and are driving back to the house to eat it.... they always want to start eating it on the way home.

+1 on door slammers.

Bulleh Oct 19, 2011 05:16 AM

No cares about your car as much as you do.

I've gotten tons of dents, scratches, clean ups all because someone rode in my car.

oh and i absolutely hate and will not (unless a large person is somehow required to sit behind me) scoot my chair forward. IDGAF about shotgun rules, fatty sits shotgun so I don't move my chair, period.

sTeadFasT96 Oct 19, 2011 08:53 AM

Only certain people are allowed to ride in my car and they know the deal.

Although one of the things that kind of irks me is when people are getting in or getting out and they just sit right on top of the seat bolster. Enough times and that things gonna get all flat and crackled...

sharkcityG Oct 19, 2011 08:56 AM

My passenger side window is out till it's fixed I don't want to give ppl a ride :/

gmotion04 Oct 19, 2011 09:17 AM
