It's Been a While !

Hey guys, like the title says It's been a long time since I've checked driver.

Hope the G community is still thriving, thought I'd share where I'm at with my car and get your opinions on what to do next !

First off, my baby is an 05 coupe with 35 thou on her, Brilliant Silver with everything but nav.

My mods so far are:

license plate cover/tint molded into the bumper
round clear corners
JDM blue dome and door lights
Ipod integration kit from isimple
MREV2
5/16 iso thermal spacer
z tube
stillen grounding kit
modified stock intake box
motordyne ART pipes
and
UpRev Osiris tune by S&R Performance

So what to do next ?

I can get a set of BC BR coilovers 12k front 10k back for 850 without install... Most likely this will be next, with spacers and front sway bar plus SPC endlinks.

Or maybe painted grill and headlights from cincity ?

Wheels, Volk GT-s ? 19x9 and 19x10 ?

Shoot out some ideas for me to brainstorm with !

On a side not for those of you with the ART pipes, do you guys get a hissing sound when off the throttle and the revs are falling around 2 thou rpm ?

Thanks guys:JAMIN:!

Well, here are my quick tips:

Get your hands into the car yourself and install the coilovers; save money that way, and feel proud with a learning experience.
Why would you have spacers in your plans if you plan to buy wheels? Just buy wheels with the correct fitment you want. Volk GT-S is nice. Great choice.
Can't go wrong with SPC endlings, really. Paint the grill yourself. Cincity lights are stupid.

Good luck!

Yeah my uncle and I are gonna do it since he knows almost everything about the mechanics of cars so I'd just give him a flat grand to help me one weekend.

And also yes most of the cincity lights are retarded, but i was thinking I might get a pair of 06 projectors and send it to them and have minor modifications done to give it an edge.. maybe an led strip where the side markers are and tiny leds around the projector ?

Well, come to Washington and I'll do the install for you for half a grand lol.

I was harsh when I said CinCity lights were retarded. Some of them are legit "sweet" but everyone has different tastes/style, so it doesn't matter. Your idea sounds good. Not a fan of LED strips, though. Around the projector might look sweet.

That is quit a list, i hope once your done with it there will be pix. I do think you should do the coils first

My bad haha I meant a grand as in 850 for coilovers and 150 for helping !

I agree with you on the LED's most of the time it looks horrible and overpowers the headlight itself. I was think more towards the tiny LED's that arnt very bright but still show well when looking at the headlight when it's on. Il try and find a picture and see if you like it

coilovers are easy... you should be there with your unlce to help out. working on ur own car is satisfying and i find it just fun. But def do coilovers first, then wheels.
Yes, iv had gutted HFC. and on my new car just regular test pipes. I had a whistle in both scenarios when rmps were on their way down.
A catback exhaust would be a nice addition as well. maybe a head unit...depends on ur budget. you m/t or auto?

MT ! And yeah I absolutely love working on my car I've done all the listed by myself except the tune, I'd Deffinitely be working with my uncle on it. He's done lots of suspension setups on scca cars and knows all the dynamics.

That's the other thing I've been contemplating, the gains I'd see from a full exhaust wouldn't be worth the 1800 bucks for the motordyne exhaust, and I love the stock exhaust note

A motordyne y pipe and double din would be the best bang for the buck to get good dyno gains and audio satisfaction, I really like the pioneer AVH-P headunit

well to be honest... if you are looking for dyno gains and your looking to spend some cash on a new toy, just go F.I. Our motors are pushed pretty good from the factory, there isnt much to be had with bolt ons. So id say make it look good and turn good bc youll notice that the most. and if you like the stock exhaust note... i dont blame you its great but dont rule out a nice catback bc of 2HP. you can check out the marketplace, a ton of good piping for sale at a good price. no need to spend 1800.
