6MT OWNERS!!! Do you feel this?
Sup all...
I drive with my left hand on the wheel and right hand on the shift ****.
Always.
And so i feel the different vibrations and such in the engine at the ****.
But i'm wondering if this vibration is normal.
For instance, I'm accelerating through 4th gear at about 3500 RPM.
Then i let off the throttle to let the engine brake kick in and slow down. As the RPM comes down, there is a brief instance when my shifter vibrates harshly.
This being my first MT, i don't know if this is normal. But it has been with me since day one. Just wondering if it is indeed normal, or something i should have a tech look at.
So basically, while engine braking, shifter vibrates (noticably harsh) for a second or two. Like there's a sweet spot in the RPMs.
Anyone?

Are you a first time stick driver...hehe nah I'm just knockin ya....perfectly normal. What you are feeling when downshifting is the gear actually catch, so yes the stick will vibrate a bit harsher. After the harsh vibration it is then just normal engine vibrations causing your stick to shake.

Having owned 3 manual cars before the G35, I was also surprised that the shifter
vibrated so much. I test drove the Mitsu Lancer EVO just before I purchased my
G and the shifter in the EVO was much smoother, with no vibrations.
But like everyone is saying, the vibrating shifter is normal on 350Z/G35. I've learned
to just take my hand off the shifter when I'm not shifting.
