When's the best time to SELL a G35?

I was wondering when would be the best time to sell a G35? I'm looking to get rid of mine (sad I know! :(..). I love the car with all my heart but I am looking to get a more "family oriented" car.

I'm in the NYC area and since winter is coming, I suspect people won't be looking to actively buy a coupe. Which season would get me the best price for selling my G? And what would be the best way to list my vehicle? Any pointers would help! Greatly appreciate it!

im thinking around tax season, when people have extra bucks and are not afraid to spend.

If you plan on selling it, you should just throw it up on Craigslist and let it sit there and you can field offers until you get something close to what you want for an asking price. You'll just have to repost the ad like once every week or other week so it stays fresh. The best time to sell it is when there is someone out there who is looking for a car like yours.... unfortunately, there's no way to tell when that person is out there or what they're willing to pay for it.

Spring is probably the most popular time to buy a car such as a RWD sport coupe... but the longer you wait, the older the car gets, and newer cars keep coming out which make your car look more antiquated.

2 years ago when our cars were actually worth something...but springtime is the best!

It's really sad to see how much are cars are worth now back in 2005+ selling for $37,500, and now it's just stupid anyone can buy one. -__-

You should know rational thought has no place on an internet message board. Nor does proper spelling. You failed on both counts. :)

Perhaps forty years from now, when our only other transportation choices are Toyota Prius' and cars made in China that run on old vegetable oil purchased from McDonald's.

I could see myself paying a premium for a nicely restored G35 Coupe in that version of the future.

Start in late spring, and then I'd really start pushing it late may till July. gotta remember tons of parents get cars as graduation presents.

Sounds just like motorcycle sales in the midwest... early spring through mid summer earns biggest returns. Buying new is best in the dead of winter.

gtoor1990 Dec 30, 2011 11:18 PM

i dont think it really matters, if sum1 wants it and they have the $$ theyll buy it whenever. both my g's i never drove them in winter, but i seen them for sale, bought them and parked them in my garage and just waited a few months till weather was better to start modding n driving.

Yea sure not as many ppl will look @ it in the winter season especially in nyc but worth a shot posting it up seeing the response for like a week, if u dont think its what you had expected take it down and post it up around mid april when the snow starts to clear away.

Either way good luck with the sale!

I bought mine in MN in Spring and paid 13,200 for it...5 months later I was finding similar for low to mid 11's. Spring and early summer is your best bet in 4 season states
