One Thing That I Don't Like About My Coupe

Don't get me wrong or anything I LOVE MY CAR, but it's been raining here in Nor Cal and as I was walking to my car to head home from work, I opened the door to get inside and the way that the roof of the car is shaped, all the water that was on the roof of the car dripped down onto my seat. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or have the same problem?

djskyy Dec 29, 2004 11:09 AM

yea, I have that same problem....the water falls straight down to the seat or the door panel, instead of running down the sides of the roof....I dunno if that's what you're talking about...

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. So now everytime I get into my car when it has been raining, I would be sitting in a puddle of water. Will this have any negative effects on the leather?

That's crossed my mind before, but I have never seen a G with it before so I don't know what our cars will look like with one. If anyone reading this has a picture of what it looks like, post it up.

You can really look cool with a semi-transparent one.
Here is one on a BMW :p

Nah you dont wanna put one o fthose on your car! Just clean up the mess it makes in your car after it rains. Plus you live in California! shhhh. It doesnt rain much there :)

I think the same thing happens in Corvettes. It has something to do with the aerodynamics of the car and the way its shaped.

OOOOA3 Dec 29, 2004 12:22 PM

yeah.. it really sucks.. but can't do anything about it.. i just hate it when i'm wearing my suit for work and it gets wet once i open the door.. *sigh*

I don't think those would work for when you open the door. Cause those stick onto the door correct not onto the car. Those are made to not let rain in when you crack the window.

But how would you stick it on the door b/c when you open the door, there is no "frame" on top of the door, it's only the window. So you would have to stick it on the car right?

I never drive my Corvette in the rain, and its garaged, so I couldn't tell ya :p

But the G35 definitely has that annoying problem. FWIW, the 350Z has the exact same issue.

Whatever you do....don't add those deflectors or whatever you call it. Not attractive at all!
