You can ride one hard and put her away wet, and save the other one for when you want a nice, slow ride and show her off. If one of them is down for mods, you still have the other one. Ever have to send parts off to the powdercoater? Or mid project and find a part you need to order? Or want to do a long project that is going to have the car down for a while? Always nice to have a spare. |
whats this miles bs you guys speak of?

03 G35 Coupe about 155k !! Still runs like a beast
|
153,389 and she's officially a 1/2 qt. every <500 miles burner absolutely no leaks.... i curse the previous owner for lack of common sense about car maintenance... i love the car reguardless. just purchased:
-front d&p outer tire (tie?) rods -rear d&p rotors and pads - front lower d&p control arm bushings and ball joints - megan racing resonated test pipes (no emissions in my county ) i need to purchase: -front and rear to subframe differential bushings - center bearing for driveshaft -knock sensor and subharness -rear d&p wheel hubs and i need my alignment done once suspension parts are installed eventually i'm getting her painted and tinted but i'd rather fix the repairs first then work on cosmetic fixes. any suggestions on good part sites that aren't expensive or has anyone purchased any of the parts listed under my need to purchase list and have advice/info they could give me. thanks in advance!!! -allie |
My first 03' G35 coupe had 140k before I sold it. Had no problems at all other than wanting a new ride.. and I drove the hell out of that thing. My daily is now a '10 G37, but I would love to buy another one soon when the price is right :]
|
52K miles now, bought it at 43K last year. just had my first "failure", dragging rear brake caliper. However I "could" have damaged it when changing brake pads last year when compressing the piston.... maybe.

I just bought my first g35 3 days ago it's an 03 blue g35 with 83,xxx on it, found it on cars.com for 9995 the jerks at the dealership tried telling me that was a cash price and the actual price was 12,000, I laughed and said nope I'm paying 9995 and that's final he "talked" to his manager and said the best they could do was 10,100 I said nope I'm only doing 9995 that's final he went back and talked to him again and finally agreed to the price, I still feel like I over payed :/

thanks! but seriously, I'm just bitching, these problems most likely aren't yours, just pick a good mechanic and for GODS SAKE do NOT go to Carmax lol! Sucks being under warranty through a shitty mechanic. |

thanks! Best mechanic in brooklyn imo, tell Roger that Kurt sent you and you'll get a friendly discount :) As for potential problems you should be aware of at that mileage: Worn out differential bushings causing the fluid to leak Timing belts Oil leaking out through valve covers Misfires from certain coil packs Im at 100k and those were the 3 problems that I ran through. |

|
2006 5AT has 51,8xx miles. No Problems so far, just needed a accessories belt change. Otherwise, I elected to have all fluids changed, added SS brake lines during brake fluid change, and did nissan blue coolant with RP wetter.
|
Lots of low mile G35s on here.
I've had mine a year so I'll update 2006 Ivory Pearl 6MT Coupe, 52,000mi (bought it with 39k mi last year, so she's getting use now). "Mods": MREV2 5/16 Copper ISO Spacer Added rear camera to stock nav. |
05 DG 6MT w/Stillen Sway Bars, Front and Rear Strut Braces and Unorthodox aluminum stock pulleys, 126K. I replace spark plugs, transmission fluid, belts, differential fluid, coolant and clean the fuel injection system every 60k. Just your normal oil consumption (1/2qt) every oil change. Still runs like a champ.:driving:

Just bought my first G35 yesterday, a 2004 6mt coupe with 91,800miles - I payed $8,500.

My second G35 coupe is a 2006 sport/premium 6MT that I found on AutoTrader, it was pampered, garaged with car cover, only driven in fair weather, with only 16,800 miles. Not even a scratch, just a few small rock chips. Still has the original factory tires, oil changed every 2k miles or less, it's like having a 1 or 2 year-old car. I paid extra to have it shipped in an enclosed truck from OH to OR and it was well worth it. She arrived 4/27/15 and being my DD has 18,600 miles now. I'm a lot more careful now where I park and how close I get to curbs.
My first G35 coupe I bought new in 2005, 6MT sport, same color (Lakeshore Slate), and traded-in with 82k miles last September, on a used 2013 Scion FR-S. Missed my G so much I searched high and low for another with low miles, and got lucky! I really like the styling and head/tail light upgrades from '05 to '06. It came with the grilles and I have since removed the airdam and switched the side marker lenses with clear ones (need to take new pics). |
@G-Diva...congrats... Great find. I'm on my second G myself.
|
2003 Ivory Pearl Coupe 6MT. Bought it with 7 miles back in 2003. it currently has 173800 miles on it and is running great! I've had just about every issue throughout the years that these G's have .. and I've been able to fix them ALL with the help of of this Forum. I love G35 driver!
|
I'm on my second G. I have just 58,000 miles. Mine is an 05 DG 6mt coupe. Love it, love it, love it. G-Diva, your coupe arrived the day before my birthday...lol
|
I bought my '03 Caribbean Blue G35 6MT the week that they first brought them over. The car now has 152K miles on it and runs fantastic. It would probably purr if I didn't have an INJEN cai, Kenetix high flow plenum, headers, test pipes and a dual exhaust. Runs on 20" RAYS Genome wheels. Love it as much as the day I bought it.
Actually in all honesty, I had to replace the motor when I was at about 35K miles. I blew the original motor at Laguna Seca Raceway way back in the day. I bought a replacement with 17K miles on it. So 134,000 miles on the motor and 152,000 on the car. Later, Ray |
04 TB 6mt with a little over 23K Love the ride and to stare at that booty!!
|
28KI use it every other weekend and love it :)
|
2003 DG auto 5sp 120,000.
Just got the alignment after replacing a ball joint. Wax it every week to keep it "G-lassy" |
125,000 on my 05' G35 Coupe... Only thing I ever had to do was recently replaced both Cam Sensors... Not bad for a 10 year old car. Just sold it though... Bought a 2014 Q60 IPL and love it !

04 coupe with just under 60k miles.
|
I have an '03 coupe. The body has 109k but I replaced the motor and it has 70k
|
I bought my 06 AT coupe about 6 months ago. It had 81k on it when I bought it, since I have put almost 8k miles on it taking me to 89k. Really didn't intend on putting so many miles on it in such a short period of time but it really is fun to drive. No problems yet. A one owner before me (older lady) lol . . Car drives great and looks like it was always garage kept. Very happy with the car no complaints.

Sweet Q60 by the way. Maybe a stupid question, but what does the IPL mean or stand for?
