my best advice for buying a g, get an MT you wont be disappointed, take your time looking around, it took me more than 3 months to find the one that was perfect for me, and finally, don't pull your hair out because you cant find the perfect one for you, because if you really want it, it will come around it will just take time. Don't rush into buying a car just because its the car you want. shop around and find the one that's right for you, and if you sit in the car and test drive it and get a funny feeling walk away from it. remember your not just buying a car, you buying something that you will love, and buying something to fast turn up with problems.

EDIT: also where are you located?

cto917 01-12-2012 04:10 AM

05 coupe 6mt, 86k, gotta change them plugs soon

theONE719 01-12-2012 04:10 AM

what do you mean a fast turn up with problems? Ive been looking for at different cars about 2 months (almost bought an 06 pontiac g6 gtp 6mt) and this was in my price range and was in a good condition. The g35 6mt i was looking at had 97,xxx on it and he wanted 15gs. ive already been approved for financing and have a check on the way, its pretty much a done deal already.

Majiks 01-12-2012 04:16 AM

alright well when you get it post up some pics here, or post a new member thread and post the link here, hope you enjoy your G as much as I enjoy mine. also lemme know what mods he has done i'm always curious to see what people have done to their G.

and what I meant is that buying a car too fast, just because you love it, can make you overlook problems that the car might have, like i have done it the past.

but if he has taken good care of it and loved it, then all should be fine...

Oh, and careful that mod bug will bite you faster then you think... but IMO that's a good thing :D

HenryLee 01-12-2012 04:19 AM

06 coupe just hit 40K

theONE719 01-12-2012 04:22 AM

haha yeah i had my uncle( a mechanic at chevrolet) take it up on the lift and expect it, then drive it, he said it was in a very nice condition, with no rust underneath at all. The owner says its never seen snow. So far he has put new headlight, spoiler, 1,100 dollar double din with navigation.

Majiks 01-12-2012 04:24 AM

well i'm looking forward to the pics, cant wait to see it, and cant wait to see what you are going to do it with.

'04 6MT with 42K. Doesn't get driven too much because I store it for winter and only drive it on nice days in the spring/summer/fall, but I prefer to take the motorcycle out instead of the G35 on most nice days.

lostangels01 01-12-2012 01:55 PM

03 DG Coupe AT 2nd owner w/83k miles. Just replaced the camshaft sensors 11/11, and she has her deep growl again. lol

Dammit, I thought I had the lowest mileage '04! I just hit 45,600, my daily driver, but I probably only put about 5k miles per year or less on her since I lieve about a mile away from work and I don't take her on long road trips.

I think Gary has less than me... if I'm not mistaken, he has like 36K on an '04.

Mine's not a daily driver though. I usually drive my Tacoma if I go into Boston or anyplace "risky". I've literally put about 3K miles on my G35 in the past 2 years because I take the motorcycle almost everywhere when it's nice out.

ss284 01-12-2012 03:55 PM

136K Here, 04 DG 6MT Coupe :)

luisp88 01-12-2012 04:42 PM

87k 2004 DG 5AT coupe

SoulGlo 01-12-2012 05:11 PM

I wouldn't put too much stake in searching for a MT over At, but everyone is different. You do get those nice gold brakes with the MT though. When i was making the choice the MT was a little further away and missing the tow hook cover. That was deal breaker and i went with the AT.

Now in the Cayman there was no way to get AT over MT....

warzywko 01-12-2012 05:26 PM
