Help - My reverse lights don't work but bulb is fine...
So I noticed that BOTH my reverse lights stopped working, which really concerned me - one light going out is a burnt out bulb - but both simultaneously going out (as far as I can tell) means something more major.
But just in case, I pulled off the driver side light housing and checked the bulb - it was fine. I didn't take off the passenger side housing to check, however. I highly doubt they are wired in a series setup where one going out causes the other to stop working as well. So, does anyone know where to look next? How does the car know to turn on the reverse lights when I'm in reverse? Is it a simple switch that triggers a relay or (god forbid) it's more complicated and controlled through the BCM? Thanks Revo |
I think there is a wire that goes to the transmission that gets tripped when the car is in reverse. Others could correct me if I am wrong.

maybe a fuse?
