G35 RPM's acting goofy

I've had my G35 for about 2.5 years, been loving it! I get a lot of compliments on it, and everything has been solid. However recently, I've noticed a weird issues I have with going through the gears.

When I am in a higher gear and step on the gas, the RPM's go up like normal, but then drop 500rpm, then continue going up like normal. What could be causing the RPM's to lag? It happens on the highways in 5th and 6th gear, but itll also happen around town in 4th.

Clutch taking a crap on me? I have 97k miles on mine, and I do drive it rather agressivly from time to time. I'll have to admit, I havent cleaned my JWT filter since putting it on about 1.5 years ago...but would that be causing the engine to bog down like that? I have a CEL light that comes on intermittently but that is due to the test pipes I have on it.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have that problem as well. I just suspect it is my clutch going out. I have been running on the stock clutch for about 70k now.. a lot of my friends tell me it is just the clutch slipping.
