biggest tires on rays

i need to replace all 4 tires all the way around and, im a fan of meaty tires in the back i think it looks good. so with that being said. I have the Stock 19 inch rays. how wide can i go without rolling fenders or any camber.

thanks for any responses and ive tried search i haven't found a straight answer yet because everything i find has camber.

I think 285 is the max. My friend has 275 in the back

I would not recommend putting any tire wider than 255 on the rays...going by the wheel specs that is the widest it naturally will support in the rear. I run a 245/40/19 all the way around. 245 widest in the front, 255 widest in the rear

^^^ what he said

On and 8.5 (rear) wide rim .... you can def pinch a 275 on there. wouldnt go bigger. in front on the 8 i wouldnt go bigger than 255. If your looking for meaty.
and dont worry about rubbing. the offsets on those wheels are high. you'll be fine.

CantDieLS 06-07-2012 12:27 PM

actually for a street tire... maybe 265s in the rear to be safe lol

I thought for our rims they were 8 in the front and 8.5 in the back??

they are...you won't find any legit tire shop that will mount a tire meant for a 10/10.5 width wheel to an 8.5 width rim

Swivel 06-07-2012 12:41 PM

I agree that 255s are optimal.

I'm put my 255/35/19 rear and 245/35/19 front tires on yesterday

yeah my bad... little typo in mine.

but Im just going off race experience. iv seen 275s on 8.5 rims... but race tires are different.

But dont you find many tire shops that would fit a tire meant for a 8" wide rim on a wheels that are 10/10.5" wide??

pinched or stretched... it can be done.

+1

You could probably find someone to put a wider tire on, but I wouldn't recommend it.

So u could run 245/40/19 all around with out any issues?

+1 same setup on mine. But honestly why do you want to run wider than stock?

none here, ran it on s-techs...now tucking tire all around on coils. 255 in the rear would need a roll
