Trunk won't open!
I checked the wirings in the trunk and everything seems okay. Right now to open I have to fold the seats back and pull on the 'emergency' latch to open.. what a pain to do this everytime to store stuff in the trunk!
When I click the trunk release button in the car or the key fob I do not hear anything at all (people sometimes can still hear the clicking sound)... is that a sign that it is a fuse problem? I still do not know which fuse to actually replace. Looking to do it today or tomorrow... there is a spare fuse in there as well which i was going to use but i think i will just buy a pack of new ones to be sure... Also is the trunk release same fuse as my brake light on my rear spoiler or the brake light on the taillights? its not clearly marked on the panel and i don't have a manual for some odd reason (misplaced)... Thanks guys! |
Have you checked the trunk switch in the glovebox yet?

Happened to me too. The wire in the trunk is probably broken since it's too small or something and tends to break with age. I had to get in through the back seat and reconnect the wire and make it longer with some extra wire from Radio Shack.

Happened to me. I think it happened when i shut the car off on gear while still rolling or something, i dont know i saw it in another thread then it happened to me, just start your car back up in neutral then shut it back off.

Bringing back from the dead as I haven't had chance to fix this yet... now my Navi is acting up as if the trunk isn't closed all the way. I slammed the sucker hard and Navi still thinks its open and of course non of my trunk release buttons work, in car or my key fob. I don't even hear the clicking noise like I use to when i try to open trunk.
any thoughts? |
