Desiel fuel in my g35 :((((

So I let my sister borrow my car for the day and she comes home and 20mins later I go out to start the G only to find out it shakes then dies. Of course I knew she put diesel fuel in the car she says she put about 10 bucks of diesel in there, what should i do!?

Honestly considering murdering her in her sleep.:7::7::7:

Kill her, dispose of the body, move to a foreign country with no extradition, finish by changing your name to I.C. Wiener

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but one of my friend told me of a story of how one of their friends put diesel in a scion. The engine was shot and had to be replaced

ilovez33 10-28-2012 04:57 PM

It's a scion. They'll not blow a motor for any reason :-P JK

But with little research.

"To get your engine running again, the fuel tank would have to be drained and filled with gas. It might take a few tries, but eventually the engine will be clean of diesel and back in working order."

ilovez33 10-28-2012 04:58 PM

That's the cheapest and first plan of action you should take.

How much is diesel in your town. Our cars have a 19 gallon tank and you probably have close to 3 gallons of diesel in there. If you decide to fill the rest with premium chance it'll start but your spark plugs will be shot. Another thing. Diesel is more oil based so it may cause a problem with your injectors....

Drain the diesel from your tank and then put in premium. Why put in premium with the diesel? If you did that you would still be feeding your engine diesel. And oh yeah, choke the life out of your sister.

Yep Drain the tank. You should also pump out the fluid thats in the fuel lines.

Drop the tank if you are able to yourself, or, take it to a shop on a tow truck. I wouldn't drive the car anymore with diesel fuel in the tank.

Lone Wolf 10-28-2012 05:21 PM

Did you choke your sister yet?

Revo 10-28-2012 05:21 PM

We know you have 2-3 gallons of diesel in there. But it's mixed in with the rest of your fuel. You can't drain just the diesel.

You have to drain your gas tank until it's empty, then put premium back in (preferably a full tank to dilute any residual diesel/gas mixture you couldn't drain out of your tank).

After you put a few tanks of gas through your car, you may still need to change your spark plugs (but in the mean time it would be good to romp on the car a little to try to blow any residue out of the combustion chamber, and it might save you from having to change the plugs).

You could siphon it out or drop the tank and dump it out...I'd siphon it then add some regular gas to "rinse" it out then siphon that out then fill it up
