Hey guys, as im sure many of you are aware of the 2006 Headlights on the G have a recall on about 30k of them. I am one of the 2004 G's that did the upgrade to the 06 lights, i was afraid since i did the swap, they would tell me to SHOVE it. Guess what, THEY GAVE ME BRANDDD NEW LIGHTS! even installed them!

Also there is an airbag relay recall on my 2004, again, they fixed it for free

Hit me up if you need more info or have questions. Also feel free to post any other recalls you might know of that can be helpful to others.

They use two ways. 1 if you actually have an 06 car, give them your VIN number

2 You can either take the lights themselves in, or give them the light ID number.

Call the highway safety board, they will tell you exactly how.

It gives me a headache trying to figure out what you wrote.

So let me try to take a guess as to what you meant to write.

You have a 2004 coupe that has 06 headlights. For some reason you went to the dealership and they swapped them out for new 06 headlights even though you have a 2004 coupe?

I'm assuming he bought his '06 headlights new from a dealership as an upgrade for his '04 lights, and the ones they gave him are one of the ones that were eventually deemed to be defective?

What was the airbag recall about? My light is on and I took it to the dealership, but they never told me there was a recall. Just wanted money to fix it.

Sensor under passenger seat gets worn with seat movement, they replace it under warranty.

Is THAT what happened? I must've been reading it wrong. I mean, I got the jist of it. I just didn't know anyone bought 06 projectors from the dealership. But either way, I think this is well placed in here...

Should be replaced for free at anytime. It's a recall.

how and why did the dealer know to replace it? since u upgraded the headlights yourself? i wouldve assumed the recall would only apply if the lights came with the car from the factory ie 06 models
