yeah....I know someone who jumped off a bridge and lived too...doesn't mean it's safe.

Yes, everyone knows this now...there are still a few people out there that stick to the book but j/s-matic replacements are all over the place

You use 8 quarts? Isn't that too much?

If your transmission goes and they find that you have some other fluid in there, they could say that it was because you didn't have OEM fluid, so I'd rather not take the chance. You never know how the dealer is going to react when something breaks. But if you're happy with it and you're out of warranty then who cares!!

If they had never invented OEM Transmission Fluid, then this never would have happened.

Everyone has their opinions, here's an  if you've been using Nissan trans fluid and your trans is shifting as intended why change fluids? I use AMSOIL synthetic fluids every where else but my AT. If it's not broken, don't fix it!

Gary, probably because Nissan rapes your pocket for their rebranded dexron 3 fluid...

rsingerG35 Feb 5, 2013 07:47 PM

My 06 is still in warranty.

4DGS Feb 5, 2013 08:15 PM

And how will they tell if the trans fluid isn't OEM spec?

The fluids are identical....

JaE35 Feb 5, 2013 08:21 PM

lol people are like apple customers with the trans fluid...the "oh it's just better" approach

KrazySouthG35 Feb 5, 2013 08:49 PM
