^Are you saying its pointless to track a G35??? Not everyone here races professionally for a living.

I don't plan on taking it to the track ever...I'm looking at 0-60 and quarter mile times to see how fast the car is relative to others and comparing speed,mileage, rear seat room etc. You're obviously missing or not understand what I said previously.

Are the interior bulbs in the dash/buttons LEDS on 05+ coupe?

Im deciding to buy a g35 soon and i was wondering which one would be best to mod? I plan to make it my project car. Also which years body kit is slimmer or smaller?

There's this g35 i see riding around in san jose and it looks pretty small compared to what i've seen and its done really nice. The g35 symbol is under the tail light instead of on top and i was just wondering what year that is

On reflection I suppose that sort of sounds like what I said. That isn't what I meant.

More to the point I guess was that these cars, in stock form, are not particularly fast (especially the AT) and if a person were to want to base their decision on stock times at a track... they may want to seek something a bit more spirited.

As the guy in this part of the conversation says: "Well it's hard to justify getting a small 2 door coupe that gets 20 mph (probably meant 20mpg) if it only runs a 14.6 in a quarter mile. If it runs a 13.9 or something it makes a little more sense to me."

Nice thread. I haven't been on Driver all too much this year due to school, but this is definitely a nice place to post questions.

According to Car & Driver, a 14.6 1/4 is what is listed which is a bit surprising ('03, non-RevUp). And as previously stated, the conditions of the track, elevation, weather, etc. all affect the end result. For a stock 6MT I've usually seen anywhere from a 13.9 to a 14.1 which sounds about right, and is backed up by herrschaft's thread. My car hasn't been to the track yet, but 1/4 doesn't really interest me, although I'm a little curious now.

I have a question that I've posted elsewhere that has yet to be answered so I'll try here: Would a stainless steel braided clutch line help with my pedal feeling a little "random"? I have an RJM clutch pedal kit installed and it's secure. It's just that sometimes my clutch pedal feels the way that it should with the adjustments that I have, and sometimes it feels much closer to stock height (physically). I doubt that it's installation error on my part (although I'm aware that it may be a possibility) as it's sometimes okay and sometimes not. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'm wondering if my g35 is imported from Japan . On the plate for the vin inside the hood and other fluids there are Japanese letters under the English. But it is a left hand drive .

Yes, ur car was assembled, built, and tested by Japanese, and sailed over by broat.

KY6 is the color code for the 03 DP. I remember someone posting a thread dedicated to color codes but I cant seem to find it or im not looking hard enough

Do i NEED a camber kit for eibach sportline lowering spring
 

I know people say theres forums and pictures out there but havent found any, been looking everywhere. My question is alot of people say u need a camber kit and some say u dont. I could really care less about going thru tires, i guess ill learn but how how bad is the negative camber? Any pictures? I have an 06 g35 coupe with xxr 19 inch rims.

All G35's were assembled in Japan. Every G35 has a VIN beginning with JN which indicates Japan as the country of origin.

There's a stickied thread that lists which springs will keep you within OEM spec. I'd take it to an alignment shop to find out. Also, camber isn't what wears out your tires, it's toe. Camber is just how much contact your tires make with the road. With that said, toe is what wears out your tires fast because your wheels are pointed in or out too much.
