Cylinder Misfire when Cold. Works fine when warm

So I seem to be chasing an intermittent issue with cylinder misfire.

My car sat for 5 days through rain, sun etc. and this morning when I started it there was a misfire. It wasn't consistently misfiring , sometimes it would misfire, then the engine would run OK and the next while misfire again.

As soon as the car warmed up the misfiring disappeared completely.

It has pending misfire codes but the engine wasn't misfiring for long enough to give me the Check Engine Light.

The codes that I was able to get out of it are P0301 (Cylinder 1 Misfire) and P0300 (Random/Multiple cylinder misfire). Those were pending codes.

I have new spark plugs so I am planning on changing those out, but I don't see how they can cause an intermittent issue..

What would be your plan of attack on this issue?

How many miles are on the G and when was the last time the spark plugs were changed?

115 000 miles and I don't know when the spark plugs were changed. I purchased the car at the end of last summer and she was stored for the winter.

Sounds like a coil pack going bad

When I took it out of storage I replaced one coil pack because it was 100% bad and I was getting a serious misfire.

Do you think a second coil pack is going back?

I am toying around with the idea of a bad fuel injector. Maybe it half sticks open and drops too much fuel.

Very well could be. If one has gone bad, chances are some of the others will be soon to follow.

I know this is an old thread but I gotta try my luck.
My 2004 g34 coupe had similar problems misfire on cylinder 3. It’s not the coils for sure, I swapped the cylinder 1 and 3 and the misfire still didn’t move. Any help

Plugs, ignition condenser.

If it's still misbehaving time for a compression test.

EDIT: Make sure there's no oil in the spark plug well tube on that cylinder. That can cause a single cylinder misfire as well.
