i never knew the G35 ever came in cloth seats. i learned something new : - )

saltyload 06-20-2013 03:41 PM

Why did they get rid of the side outlets and pocket on center console?

ValerieG35 06-20-2013 03:58 PM

yeah, never knew it came with cloth seats. maybe its an international thing, because ive never seen a local G with cloth seats and I rooted through probably a hundred of them before i settled on mine

Cloth seats were an option. Just a very uncommon one.

livinglegend 06-21-2013 03:35 AM

Did the late 04' models come with the sliding center console cup holder? Because I have an 04' with willow int but it has the sliding cover over the cup holders

Maybe they thought it looked better hidden.

04g35mt 06-26-2013 11:24 PM

very helpful, thanks for this, i had no clue there was a cloth seat g35, cool

driftsucky 07-27-2013 02:19 PM

You've done a great job so far.

Urbanengineer 07-27-2013 05:07 PM

Good work nothing like this is out there.

rsingerG35 07-28-2013 01:40 AM

Thanks everyone. It was a ton of work.

Blue Dream 07-29-2013 12:25 AM

Congrats on getting stickied, great job.

TIAN 07-31-2013 06:18 PM

Great thread. Thanks!

rsingerG35 07-31-2013 08:36 PM

Thank you Staff for choosing this as a sticky. Still adding to it and updating.

Roblesch 08-03-2013 03:25 PM

This is great I had no idea there were so many variations. 😃

Ghuss 11-16-2013 08:45 PM

So my car is Premuim/Sport package LOL! damn loaded up the butt!

nibjey 12-07-2013 11:40 AM

One thing I really like about the 05+ models is the clock getting moved up next to the thermostat in the center of the dash.

I do like the tail lights with the rounded white area as opposed to the slit looking tail lights on the 07+ years. The headlights do get better with the later models though.

ScraggleRock 01-14-2014 04:24 AM

I enjoy the thread except for one thing; The door panel on the very first picture is not an 03/04 coupe. That door pull is really long. A sedan..?

hack4875 01-15-2014 12:02 AM

Still never understood why Infiniti waited till 05 to delete the cassette player!!??

ScraggleRock 01-15-2014 01:31 AM

^all car companies deleted the cassette option after 04. It's the same thing as when all companies deleted carburetors after 92 (or 93..). just something that was agreed upon I think.

Lartytiejdke3 01-15-2014 08:19 AM

Wish that was true.
Cassette player in my 06 highlander ^

ScraggleRock 01-15-2014 08:29 AM

Really? Wow. I've never seen one in a car past 04. My statement was just an observational theory, but I was fairly sure I was right. Haha damn, an 06 with a cassette player..weird..

ConradoR 02-11-2014 08:48 PM

I have the opportunity to exchange my 04 door panels with my friend's 06 door panels with the padded elbow rests.

Two questions. I have the 04 tan/willow interior and he has the 06 tan interior coupe. Are the shades of tan/grey the same? In other words, would it match the rest of my car's interior?

Also, I have the door pulls and window button thing professionally painted, so I wanted to keep those. Are those and the 05-07 interchangeable?

Thanks!

Frankieg35 02-11-2014 08:53 PM

Door pulls are different.. Switches will work.. Not sure if the tans are the same shade..

ConradoR 02-12-2014 03:11 PM

Frankie,
You're right on the door pull.
Regarding the tans, they are different.

03-04s were only offered in willow (almost like cream than tan) and graphite (black). The 05-07 offer tan, stone, and black. The tan(05-07) is more yellow than willow (03-04), and the stone (05-07) is more gray than willow (03-04).
Just for reference, willow (03-04) and stone (05-06) match better than tan (05-06), but as still not the same.

ScraggleRock 02-12-2014 03:37 PM

Anyone wanna trade complete interiors? I want my white 04 coupe to have a black interior (was that scheme ever offered?). Adversely, I think a black G with the willow would be the dopeness.

ScraggleRock 02-12-2014 04:44 PM

Haha jk, congrats, krazy.

Seriously tho, I want a black interior. Anyone? Tradesies?

Jaysliu 03-05-2014 01:50 PM

Great post! Good to see how far the interior has come along the way.

rsingerG35 04-01-2014 11:57 PM

Acura rsx's have them. I had them in my 2006 rsx.

rsingerG35 08-10-2014 01:37 PM

jwgutierrez1122 09-08-2014 05:39 PM

Cool, very detailed on the different options throughout the years.

CoupeObsession 10-15-2014 10:37 AM

Does anyone know if the cabin roof height decreased from 05-06 coupes? I am about 6'0, and when I sat in an 05 coupe I had plenty of head room, while in an 06 coupe I was brushing the ceiling. Any reason why? was there maybe a change in seat height as well?

rsingerG35 10-20-2014 09:54 AM

All the same. Did you check the seat adjustments? There is a seat rail mod to make it lower also.

EnCr1pt3d 10-23-2014 01:31 PM

Very cool to see the differences. I wish the 05/06 had memory seating :(

Blue Dream 10-26-2014 10:21 AM

It was an option in 06 but not 05.

Moderator edit, please don't derail the thread. this is for OEM equipment only.

Spoiler

Blue Dream 10-31-2019 09:39 AM

No RHD no Skyline, period.

Sorry man but the interior looks trashy not classy and definitely not Skyline worthy. Looks like a lot of your parts came from a Dollar General, but I'll give you an E for effort I guess. :dunno:

Welp, this used to be a nice reference thread that detailed the interior changes between various model years...

The new membership doesn't bode well for the future of the forum. Man I miss the good old days. 😥

Can we petition to remove irrelevant posts to thread subject?

Love that idea. I'll work on it when I get home this morning.
