I took my 99 mustang cobra down to FL this last week and finally got to drive the wife's 2003 G35 coupe. Wow what a car!! Car holds you in the seat and so much more "tossable" than the BMW. RIP Heidi...Hello Infiniti g35...(I haven't named her yet)...This is some kind of machine.

Why were you driving a 330xi? And why were you comparing it to a G35? And what does a Mustang that isn't that great of a Mustang have to do with this story?

1. 2002 330xi was my wife's car..it got totaled 1 hour from Brandon FL..hr 23 of 24 from NH.
took the nose and hood off..motor still good...70% damage fix cost..almost fixed but got FL certificate of destruction eventually.
wife settled in FL, I had to go back to work on house in NH.
wife got 2003 G35 5AT coupe to replace BMW.

2. Brought my mustang down from NH recently.

3. Finally got a chance to drive the G35 when I came down with the mustang.

Surely you joke about the 99-01 cobras....best balanced mustang in history, up to recent 5.0 STICK axle, at 54.5/45.5, IRS and a 4.6 motor that can be brought up from OEM 320/272 rwhp to 375/320 rwhp for $1400-1700 and then to 430/370 rwhp for $1300 more.

$3000 to get 100 RWHP NA...then shortblock bore/stroke for 5.3L and head intake valve work..more HP NA....425 RWHP or more.
with great aftermarket support.

G35 has good aftermarket support..
I've got a mods list already...but maybe not for her G35;-)

The g35 has good aftermarket support. But it is not going to respond to performance mods like the mustang.

The BMW 330XI was the same story..and my Audi A4 3.0 is also not a real mod car.
That could be a good thing though having only one car to dump mod money into.

Thinking transgo auto VB mod and 3.9 w/OBX differential just to liven it up for her and maybe Osirus chip..wife doesn't want the car lowered..we'll see about that..sometimes she is just protesting..

Thanks

bmws, aside from the 335 and the m series, are not fast cars to begin with. but a lot of bmw owners think otherwise lol

I agree, but the handling is great on most all BMWs.

I was very impressed by the handling of the G35....plus it actually has seats that hold you in...unlike the BMW or my Audi. The entire interior of the G35 is more cockpit like and seats the driver better IMO. Even the wife says she drives with more confidence with the G35 and that she never felt comfortable/confident in the BMW...
