Auto drivers, how's the triptonic?

It's slow to shift and the shifts are soft. There is no good way to edit the TCM programing to up the shift pressure/speed. The only way is to manually alter the valve body via the method above.
It's a shame that someone can't come out with a software edit for this.
GM auto TCMs are very easily accessed and altered.

And no urban I drive an 04 6 speed but my physical therapist recommends I drive auto for atleast a couple years to allow for my bad ankle to heal properly. Or it will continue to ache at night.

Man the lag sounds awful, I hope there is some chip or something to improve it even slightly.

I thought you could up line pressure in Osiris? Or is that only for certain TCM's? I do wish there was a way to change the transmission logic like a sport mode or something. The VB upgrade helps with the shift firmness, but it doesn't really do anything for when the shifts happen. It still upshifts too quickly and is slow to kick down.

I have driven only manual transmission cars for the most part. I have also owned plenty of them. Overall, I feel that the tiptronic in this car is pretty good, its fun when you want a little and will hold the gear and the relaxing when you have it in auto.
The best part about this car is that they had both options.
I know I'm not exactly comparing apples to apples here but the GTR only comes in an auto with manushift. and if you look at most exotics, they too are only coming in autos with select shift. Now obviously those transmissions are FAR superior and more advanced than what is in the v35, but i don't think you will be disappointed either way. when I originally started looking for one of these, i wanted a manual because my other car (lexus IS300) is an auto as well, although my wife can drive manual she so short she she couldn't depress the clutch pedal comfortably, so i decided to get a auto. I actually love it. no regrets here

Once you get used to the lag it's not too bad. Up shifting is pretty good. Downshifting is a little slower and going into 2nd isn't very smooth on its own, but if you blip the gas a little after hitting the selector you can match the revs after a little practice. The Transgo kit will make the shifts themselves quicker and firmer, but it doesn't reduce the lag time between telling it to shift and the actual gear change. It's better than a normal auto, less fun than a manual

Yea, my smart car has a lot of lag in between auto shifts, but it is made by Mercedes and the SLR has an auto transmission with speed shift manual mode too. Kinda the same thing.
