If the G wasn't available...

or you had to trade it, what would you buy instead within 10K of the G's price?? Not getting rid of my car just making conversation :D

for me, it would be an E Class Benz (big down pymt). if that didn't work out, i'd probably have gotten the new TL.

Audi S4 or BMW M3. I know those cars are substantially more expensive, but my G's lease is $630 a month and with BMW's high residual value and aggressive lease rates, I could have gotten a nicely-loaded M3 for less than $100 more a month (~$700/month).

getting bored of your G ryan? lol

probably a 01 or 02 m3 for me.

So given a rough MSRP of $46k I'd probably have to re-evaluate whether 4 seater or 2 seater.

Ideally if only 2 seats I'd go for a Porsche Boxter (S preferred but pricing probably too much). I'd also consider a used M Roadster or maybe a Z4...possibly a Cadillac 2 seater (forget the name).

If 4 seater it gets a bit tough. M3 would be a candidate. S4 would be nice but not sure about that pricing.

S2000, EVO, or STi.

LOL This time of year when its slow at work I get myself in trouble looking at other cars and performance parts online. My head starts to swell with ideas of turbos and plenums or even alt car options. Then I go home and my wife brings me back to reality. (that doesn't stop the parts buying though :D ) At one point I was floating in my afternoon Dr. Pepper carmel daze putting together a plan to drive my car out to you for a blue LED conversion hahhhaa

henryG Feb 7, 2005 04:20 PM

used m3 for sure

DiamondGCoupe Feb 7, 2005 04:21 PM

Audi S4 or Lexus Rx330

i think the cadillac xlr (2 seater that you don't know the name of) is just a tad above our given price range.....MSRP $76,650..

might want to reconsider your choices lol! :p

roneski Feb 7, 2005 04:29 PM

C6 Vette probably.

daniel3ooo Feb 7, 2005 04:29 PM

the M3 would be outta the price range for me...but I probably would have gotten a loaded TL

Phatzilla18 Feb 7, 2005 04:30 PM

Used M3 or S4

636Racer Feb 7, 2005 04:37 PM

maybe a used, 93 R32 GTR VSPEC

From the very first time I saw the G before it came out a couple of years ago I wanted it even before I read any reviews on it. Now I have a 2005 6mt coupe on order but it was only recently that I could afford one but before I could I was cross shopping between a:

· Pre-owned BMW 325 or 330 sedan or coupe.
· Pre-owned Acura TL
· S2000
· Lexus IS300
· Acura RSX Type-S
· 2002 Vette

Now that I’m able to afford the G I didn’t even cross-shop, the G was the one and only choice for me. My friends have known I have had this car on order since December but I feel like now they think I’m lying or I’m all talk since I still don’t have it yet. I don’t know how much longer I can wait.
