Headlight Issues! Ideas?
 

Hi, I have an 04 coupe. Last year, i put in the 6k HIDs from a vendor here, Diode Dynamics, and was running them on my OEM ballasts. 4 months later, my driver's side headlight wouldnt turn on. After a month, it turned back on by itself. It was fine for 2 months before one night both headlights wouldnt turn on. The clearance strip and turn signals and fogs were fine however.

So after taking it to a shop for a diagnostics, they told me both my ballasts were bad and I needed new ones.

So i went onto The Retrofit Source and bought a pair of Matsushita Gen V Ballasts and a set of Osram Xenarc CBI 5k D2R headlights. Took 3 weeks for the headlights to get in since TRS had to order them from England. Finally got the it installed at the shop. Everything seemed fine after.

Tonight, (3 weeks after install), after work at night i started my car to go home. Something didnt look right so i got out to check. Driver's side headlight out again.

So frustrated right now. I'm thinking that when the shop put the bulbs on, one of the workers might have touched the bulb on accident with his bare hands or dirty gloves and gotten oil on them so it blew. But maybe i got a bad bulb? It did ship all the way from England and the OEM Osram boxes have very very poor protection of the bulb. Or maybe the Matsushita Ballast I got was a bad one? Any ideas people? Will try to call both my shop and TRS after July 4th weekend.
