Key Fab Feature
So I'd like to think of myself of a car finatic but I had just learned about this last week .... If you press the unlock on the key fab twice and hold it on the second time the windows will roll down for as long as you hold it down!!!:eek: Now if this isn't news for you, you might not be as pumped as me but I was pretty ecstatic. I got thinking if ther is anything else that im missing out on???? What do you know that others might not
P.s. bought my 05 rev 6MT used so I never got the salesman speech. |
Old news brotha...I'm happy for you.... Ha ha.. I also know those window motors will need replaced in the near future if not already.. And she burns some oil up too if you didn't know that...

yeah... but there's no way to bring windows back up with the key fob
|
Great for them summer days. Especially if you own a black car.
That's the only sort of 'secret' function I can think of that the general public tends to miss out on. |

There is with the key though. If you put the key in the drivers side door and turn and hold it to the lock position, the windows will go up.

Yeah but inconvenient with the key. Key Fob should be able to do that remotely.
Safety feature. Last thing you want is to lean on your key fob and roll the windows up on some unsuspecting child hanging his arm out the window. Liability reasons |
What is a Key Fab?

You only really have to hold the button once, no double tap on the FOB. Also, if you hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for a few seconds, it will kill the horn honk when you unlock the car. I've had mine since '03 so I learned a bit. I forget if the '05s have it, but if you hold the memory advance on the steering wheel for the stereo for a couple of seconds, it will scan ahead instead of jumping to the next memory station, or if in disc mode will skip to the next disc. Like I said, I don't remember if it was the same on the '05s, but that is how it works in my '03.

Or you can buy an aftermarket alarm, remote start your car with your phone and roll windows up or down with a push of a butt.
|
If you stick the key in the door and turn it to lock I believe it closes the windows!
|
Actually when you hold the key fob buttons, it completely kills the horn honk feature. On my car the marker lights flash twice when you lock and no flash at all when you unlock.
