exhaust tone on 05's...
 

not as loud as the 03-04's.... :mad: ...but the exhaust part numbers are the same, so it must be something engine related, maybe the new exhaust timing?

is it really not as loud as the 04 model? i figured it would be louder!

sucks bigtime! its still there, but very weak. we'll see what happens when i do z-tube/ k&n drop-in...

yes there is a noticeable difference, even the service people at the dealership knew that...

I agree, the 05's sound is tighter and more controlled. A very subtle but noticable difference. The 05's aren't as throaty but sound more refined.

They might have tweaked the muffler or resonator a bit while still keeping the same part number.

SOunds like it's time for you to get some exhaust mods

Are you honestly past break in? Give it time, they get deeper with time and milege man and that's a fact.
