I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 and its overheating nothing is leaking I changed the thermostat and the sensor and still overheating all the hoses are tight and not leaking the fans work. Is there anything else it could be?

did you get all of air out of the system?
|
There are tons of "my G35 is overheating" threads on here lately.
Did you try looking through any of those for suggestions? The diagnostic flow is pretty much the same all the time. |
how would i figure out if there was air in the system and could that cause the car to overheat:confused2:

To check, remove the rad cap. do this when car is cold otherwise it could spew hot coolant) You should be able to see that coolant level close to the top. If not, there is air the system that should be filled with coolant. if you can top up the coolant, do it. Then obviously put rad cap back on. |
Step one: don't buy a 10+ yr old "luxury" car regardless of how much you've loved it since you were 13.
Step two: learn how a car works so you can troubleshoot based on relative common sense. Step three: go rent a damn cooling system pressure tester and try to find a pinhole or hairline fracture. Air does not simply enter the system with no way in. The water jacket is an enclosed, pressurised system that can have NO open ends and must be air tight. |

Go search for the FSM for your vehicle and carefully read the cooling section and follow the troubleshooting steps. Or ask daddy to take it to the dealer for you to get it fixed Telcoman |
Good luck Anthony

Both fans working?

Check that the fans turn on, this was a common issue and even had a TSB out for it, i think.
